<DIV>Hi all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm starting my SK tonight but would like to spend my time in EoF instead of the older world. Is that feasible? I was thinking something like start off on Isle, then get to level 10 around FP - and then head to EoF? Would that work...am I able to learn the recall to EoF spell etc.?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Really not sure how to get about in game as I've been away for ages, so how do I get to EoF pls and is it easy to do at low level?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,</DIV> <DIV>Siden.</DIV>

<DIV>It is doable but would not be the best idea, IMO. Here are reasons why.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) To get there, you need to take a boat from TS or Nek docks. This will take you to Butcherblock, which is a level 20-30 zone. You then have to run across this zone to get to GFay, which is 10-20. You will need an escort, invis, or some serious luck to make this journey solo at 10.</DIV> <DIV>2) You cannot use the broker in GFay, at least last time I tried I could not as an evil. This means you would have to stock up on spells, gear, food, drink, etc before you make the journey, or make the journey several times. You could also find someone to teleport you to GFay, if you gather the leaf at the ring.</DIV> <DIV>3) It is more crowded. If you plan on grouping, this may be beneficial. If you are wanting to solo, it will be harder.</DIV> <DIV>4) I do not think you can tradeskill there. Since you cannot use the broker, I am not sure you can get writs or pick your specialty.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Some of this issues might have changed since I last checked. I do not have this problem since I am 50+ with a mount so running is not an issue. Also my wife is a fury so she can port us around to save time.</DIV>

<P>my SK made the perilous journey at lvl 15, however, i had a lvl 70 to run and scout the safest way to get from the docks to GFay zone in...it was a harrowing journey, and i barely made it, but at 15 i made it there so i could group with my wifes new fae. now, i will warn you, its impossible to get there without drawing some aggro unless you have someone train and tank the zone for you...even at 15 there were reds, so you can forget invising through the zone. </P> <P>when you get there, you will have to use the bank and mender ect in the nursery of GF to sell and what not,and you will not be welcome in the tree city...nor will you be able to bind you call in gfay or become a citizen without betrayal.</P> <P> </P> <P>its rough, but for the joys of leveling up in a new zone, it was worth it to me! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P><p>Message Edited by RaunII on <span class=date_text>11-28-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:38 PM</span>

Ran a lev 4 monk over with just a sow. Just stick to the roads/paths and you shouldnt run into many mobs. Have to be good to get call of Kelethin though. The nursery is not such a pain to use, but no access to the broker means a few trips home. Stock up for a long trip first round.

If you can find a friendly and willing level 25+ wizard/warlock who has done the portal quests, they can port you to the Greater Faydark spires. You <EM><STRONG>do not</STRONG> </EM>have to have been there first to gather anything like you do to take advantage of the druid rings.<p>Message Edited by Pyrometer on <span class=date_text>11-28-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:46 PM</span>

I've leveled a SK there from level 5 and only returned to Freeport after i hit 20. There is a mendor/banker/merchant in the area that new Faes start out at level 1 that is accessable to you, and there is a fence broker that you can use if you dont mind the commission they charge (located in the base of the giant stump)and running through BB isnt that big of a deal...just follow the roads and there is not much to worry about. Or hey, find a wizzy or warlock to teleport ya <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />but if that is the way you chose to level your toon...remember that you probably wont want to return to Freeport for a while cause it is a long march back, and remember to grab your druid ring bush just incase you know of a good warden/fury to get you there in the future.<div></div>

<P>Running though BB is not tough at all. You might pick up some aggro but just keep your eyes open.</P> <P>Are you sure all the guards would be KoS? I thought it was only the ones near the queen. If I am right, then you can use one of your good alts to mail you items from the broker. SK adepts are usually better prices in Qeynos anyhow :smileywink:</P>

you are correct...only the Royal guards will attack you..however, none of the brokers/bankers or merchants will do any business with you...you have to go to the newbie area to do all that.<div></div>

<DIV>Oh yeah, I didn't think they would, but its nice to know the mail system is an option. Would be better if you could have a shared bank with all toons, but hey... at least the bank is an option now(it has been for some time I know, but at release you couldn't send mail between the good and evil toons...).</DIV>

Ive nver been agro'ed on the 7-8 times Ive done this run. Just keep aware of the surroundings.</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2) You cannot use the broker in GFay, at least last time I tried I could not as an evil.
