when your master 1 and adept 3 taunts get resisted on blue and white solo mobs 4 out of every 5 taunts, there is a problem. I am sorry, but none of my tanks can hold aggro but my bruiser, and he is only keeping aggro in groups if he throws up offensive stance and uses his dps to hold aggro alone. my lvl 70 zerk and lvl 18 SK cant hold a mobs attention to save their lives.

please tell me that SOE will tone the resists down a little bit....combat arts are bad too, heck, one out of every two hits from my master 1 and adept 3 CA's get resisted or miss...sigh.

I still havent had any problems with resist rates on my taunts with my sk. Wonder if its the type of mob or something? What kind of mobs are you fighting?

I had taunt problems too... so I changed my AA points to 448 WIS (increases disruption ect skills) and used 3 (max) points to each skill that improves taunts in SK Hate tree. All seems to be working fine now

My Shadow Knight is 48 now. I have never had a problem holding aggro with her. I group with her 90% of the time and i perform as main tank.

I have geared her out in primarily tanking gear (Str, Agil, Stam) sets, with a few pieces of the plate set for int/wis boosts.

I usually pull with a DD (coil or anger). If i'm pulling a single, i then go for disease cloud (single target taunt) and then paraiah's mark. If it's a group, I go with unending pain (aoe disease) then shriek of terror (group taunt), followed by swarming spirits (aoe damage). At that point i just concentrate on one mob at a time. I have had multiple Swashies, Assassins, Conj, Warlocks, and Wizards tell me they are amazed that they can go balls out dps and not pull off me.

I have ensured that I have at least adept 3 or master levels on single and group taunt, my aoe disease cloud, and offensive and defensive stances. This is key. I have seen an aoe taunt not do it, but add the disease cloud and the mobs come running back like they forgot there's a warlock in the room. It is important to remember that the group taunt is encounter group, not anything that decided to wander by and join the party. The combination of the aoe disease and circle attack will generate aggro on the entire group, linked or not.

With the gear type, skill level, and the tactics described above, I have sucessfully tanked a level 46 epic x 2 mob at 47 with a single group of level 44-47's.

I hope my little strategy helps some with your troubles.

Hanali Celanil, 48 Shadow Knight, Oasis Server

well, im still having problems with multiple mobs, so i guess its something i am doing wrong. guess i will have to find masters or adept 3's for every single taunt for all 3 of my tanks...this promises to be expensive, lol.

With multiple mobs/groups, just throw down your two normal taunts, slap down death march and then finish off with all the AE's. If you aren't of level to have deathmarch, just use the AE's. Works like a charm if your groupmates are killing your target and not jerking their own crank on a different mob.

The problem I've had is when fighting multi mobs, your AOE taunt lands on two, but the thrid then goes and eats someone. DM can help on this but its not always up.
