<P>one of you was doing something wrong, maybe he put amends on you or one of the dps or something similar. you shouldnt have trouble yanking aggro from a paladin who isnt trying to keep aggro. if the paladin was trying to get aggro thats another story and with the right use of skills it can be a toss up. Additionally  if the paladin was sword and board they have a shield bash based taunt just like ours that easily makes up the aggro from using a 2 hander.</P> <P>also keep in mind part of our aggro is from our damage we are a DPS aggro class. so yes our taunts start a bit low but they build with our dps and as a few seconds go by. </P>

Maybe he was using shield bash, not sure, he sure used his mana up and he wasnt healing really, I was in defence stance, not sure if that would do any difference. Im frustrated just, cause now im scared to group with people, Im used to be known as a good tank, and this isnt something i consider light(cries)

Cause these taunts sure didnt work.</div><hr></blockquote>if the pally was using taunts all through the fight it would be hard to get it off him, your taunts are ToT (taunt over time) his are up front, so you are always playing catchup.part of being in a good group is people knowing their rolls, I cant keep agro off of an assasin (nobody can)  when he opens his big COWA (cannowhooparse) but by using his threat reduction techniques I keep agro just fine.</div>

<P>dont let people fool you.  you have to watch everything they do and even then they might get one past you.  he prob had amends on you, and was using his taunts and shield bash.  he may have even told you he wasnt but people are stupid so you cant accept their answer as the truth.  ive grouped with too many stupid people claiming to not use their taunts, or their buffs that snap aggro, ie bruiser buff, and you can see them using it.  you would need more info for me to be able ot answer that.  im not saying our taunts are great but its hard to say without knowing all the facts in your case.</P> <P>edit: i wanted to add that i dont think our taunts are as effective as they should be and i shouldnt have to spec achievements to make them as good as they should already be.  EoF has brought us a mess of AP's that boost the effectiveness of our spells/CA, not just us but all classes, to counter the nerf fixes that have been added for some time.  many of them decrease resistability, increase the effectiveness of debuffs and damage.  basically they have nerfed alot of aspects of combat and class specific spells/CA's so they could give us the option of increasing their effectiveness later on.  it doesnt really seem like weve made much progress in advancing our characters, at least not to me.  now dont get me wrong, i love alot of the sk ap's, but after talking to guildies and being excited about it, they made me realize how badly we needed these ap's.  i think the sk ap's are the best out of all of them, overall.  sure there are a few good ones but overall sk's got the most beneficial ones.  some classes got nothing good imo, and maybe thats a reflection on class balance.  sk werent were they wanted them to be and other classes were which is why we got good ones and they didnt.  my opinion.  but in the end, i should have to spec str in the kos tree and hate in the sk tree just to be a suitable tank.  im not even talking about raiding enviroments, im talking heroic groups.</P><p>Message Edited by Tarkin-Wretched on <span class=date_text>11-20-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:54 AM</span>
