Hey all Ive got a new 21SK and am wondering what the best spots for armor and weapons are. Every on seems to respond to other threads assuming eveyone is 60ish and can do the high stuff. That is fine and good but us low levels need to get geared up and need help finding where. Any help is appreciated and suggesting spending $$ isn't what I am looking for, I know i can spend cash(once i get it) to buy from brokers but I want the fun of discovery and quest fullfillment. Thanks.<div></div>

At level 20 you get an armor quest that results in a set of plate armor (I think there is no headpiece).  This is a quest, so its free.  The first part you can solo and get a bracer.  The rest is basically groups.  You will be hard pressed to find people working on it so its tough to finish and still get a lot of use out of it.  I have done the armor quests for all my characters, and I usually end up banking the last few pieces simply because by that point I have better stuff. You will level fast from 20-30.  I wouldnt worry about equipment in that tier, nor would I worry about spells or abilities other than you main stances.  I would harvest, look for rares and if you find something have a crafter make it into something to use.  Crafted items, weapons and armor are not as good as they were before the patch but they are still viable.Once you hit level 25 or so you can begin getting in groups for dungeons like Varsoons and later in the 30s Runneye.  Both places were upgraded, and some nice stuff drops there with regularity.  Also, if you do the dungeons a lot you will probably end up with a few masters to sell or trade.During these levels you can easily see SK masters for good prices.  Anything under 1p is a good price for that tier.  Harvested rares are still to be found, maybe more so cause they also drop of bosses in Runnyeye and Varsoon (which is a lower tier than Runnyeye).  Feysteel, if you can find it, will make a nice addition.  If you have a choice, get a Feysteel weapon first then armor....unless you get lucky with a dungeon drop. You really dont need legendary or fabled loot at this level.  Level 40-50 is pretty much the same.  You can solo and quest your way through Ferrott, Everfrost and Lavastorm (in groups).  Permafrost and Sol Eye are the dungeons here.  I think they were btoh upgraded in terms of loot, and some nice stuff drops there now.  Sol Eye is a huge dungeon and just getting to it takes a lot of time.  Permafrost is much smaller and easier to get too, but I think there is better loot in Sol Eye.Harvested rares for this tier are extremely rare, simply because people plow through these levels AND they are very rare to begin with.  If you find some Ebon you can make a nice weapon or shield or whateve...but its not needed.Once you start doing the quests in Desert or Ro, you will easily make 1p per night just by doing quests, selling body loot and selling off the quest rewards (which are useless unless you have crappy gear).  These are easy, soloable quests and you can but a piece of cobalt for 1p.I spent a week just doing that and I got all Cobalt and all crafted jewelry.  There really wasnt anything else worht spendig it on.  Masters at that level are pretty rare and over-priced AND they are usually not the last spell you get....so people tend to concentrate on level 60-70 spell masters.  You can easily do the quests from all three houses in Majdul and not only get enough money to buy all crafted gear, but also get a nice horse and maybe find a cheap master or two on the broker.  Dont forget to do your carpet quest and get a free carpet! Then, gear gets cheap.  Lots of great legendary gear drops in KOS levels 60-70 and it is so cheap, you will wonder if its defective.  Weapons, armor, shields...well, maybe not shields but certainly weapons and armor.  It cost me not 20 gold to buy a nice pair of gloves and a legendary sword. At this point you will want to start your Claymore Quests (starts in WFP freeport Emissary) and the MOA quest which starts by some stranded droag in the Bonemire.  The biggest money sink will be crafting (if you choose to craft) and buying masters.  You dont need the masters, but they help.  Dont craft and think you will make money doing that...you wont.  Crafting only costs money, it doesnt make money.  You can harvest and get lucky finding rares and be rich.Once you get to level 60-70, there really isnt a whole lot to buy.  You wont be able to afford the really good stuuf people "try" to sell and masters will generally run 4-10p and a lot more for the good masters.  Your gear will come from quests, and it will be very good gear at that. So, you dont really need great gear even at level 60....you will somehow end up with pretty decent gear once you get to your mid 60s.
