<div></div>Hi all, I am just starting a new SK. I think it will be a blast. I just have a few questions that I was hoping some of the experienced Sk's could help answer.1. I was thinking of going with the Devout armor, but in the first few tiers only certain pieces can be made Devout. So what types of armor do most people use?2. What type of jewelry do most of you use? STA, WIS, INT-- or STR, STA, AGI?3. What type of shield do you use mostly? Kite or Tower? and the reason why (tower having more mit, or 1 having better stats, whatever)Thank you for any wisdom you can depart <span>:smileyhappy:</span><div></div>

1. Go with what you can get made devout. Int is your friend, at any level. Also get master crafted if possible. You are a tank after alll, so mitigation is king. 2. Ahhh this could be debated for ages, but i'd get an imbued sta ring then either imbued str or int. Overall though, you want a mix of sta and int for hitpoints and to increase spell damage. 3. You want the highest shield factor you can get. Wether its Kite or Tower wont matter. The shield slam line just needs a shield, any type. I was going to say to focus on getting some wisdom gear for power pool, but that will be changing with EoF. Our power pool will be based on Str and Int instead of Str and Wis.One of the caveats of SK's is we can really make use of all stats. This makes gearing up tricky. However at low levels i would recommend focusing on:Sta: Hitpoints are your friend. Int: Increases spell damage, thus allowing better agro control and faster killing. Increases power pool post EoF. Str: Increases melee combat art and auto attack damage. Increases power pool. Agi: Increases avoidance. Helpful, but won't be terribly crucial at low levels unless tanking something very difficult. Wis: Increases resists. Increases power pool, but that is soon to go the way of the dinosaur. Str will come naturally as almost all plate armor comes with it. Also one of your buffs increases Str and Sta for yourself and group members. As you get some AA points, I'd recommend starting on the Int line and going 4-4-8 for maximum spell crits. This is where most of your damage will come from. Your offensive stance boosts int, while the defensive stance boosts Wis. Unless tanking something hard or have no healer/incompetent healer, I usually will tank in offensive stance. The SK is a very fun class and i've made it my new main the last month. The versatility and complexity of the class is what i really enjoy. You'll see what I mean once you get some levels and go kill stuff. <div></div>

Thank you very much for the advice. Answered all my questions. Question number 2 was really meant to be what type of crafted jewelry (palladium, rhodium) or (jasper, opal.) One type is STR, STA, AGI other STA, INT, WIS. Was just wondering to go for more INT or STR? Maybe half and half? Just wondering. Thanks again for the nice reply <span>:smileyhappy:</span><div></div>

I don't remember which type gives which stat for lower levels. I happened to like imbued STA rings because of the boost to STA and the proc which gives in combat hp regen. I would then likely go with an imbued int ring because you will likely have high STR just thanks to armor. Really though, you can't go wrong with Str, Sta, or Int. An Agi ring wouldnt be bad if you find your agi is super low. <div></div>
