As Shadowknights we have five Gods available to us:

Cazic Thule

Innoruuk

Rallos Zek

Solusek Ro

Brell Serilis

For an early preview of the benefits for each God see: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=echoesoffaydwer&message.id=27287Innoruuk looks like an excellent choice for a Shadowknight. Too bad as an Iksar I really should be following Cazic Thule ... even though pretty much all his abilities are complete garbage. Anyone have any thoughts about our dieties?

Innoruuk is looking pretty badass right now. However, you're right. As an Iksar, I should be following Cazic Thule, but I'm not going to. XD

Message Edited by Kagatoeyo1 on 11-04-2006 09:56 PM

depending on how things work out i'll either not bother worshiping any for raiding purposes, or be going with InnoruukZek and Ro both offer some nice abilities, but i think Innoruuk is just better suited to a SK.

Innoruuk seems the way to go for me from my SK point of view.Cazic Thule would be interesting, just all this "makes target afraid" is in PvE (especially at raiding) completely crap. Seems like a very good choice for PvP but thats only a few servers ...

Rylight wrote:sadly I may have to ditch cazic thules for innoroks, cazics just isnt that good.

It's downright terrible. The fear causing, poison buffing damage shield looks somewhat interesting. That's pretty hefty damage for a damage shield. And I wonder about the last miracle. I didn't see mention of a chance for it to dispell. fearing something for almost a minute iwth no chance to break it could be real interesting.

Must go for Innoruuk. I was looking forward to worship him since I first heard that EOF will have dieties back in the Spring. Innoruuk is and have been my god of hate for 8 years. I play Nocifer in EQlive since it's launch and been serving him and RPed by preaching the hate, corrupting guild/city, etc. I felt funny without him when I played EQ2 as Nocifer. Now I'm glad he's back so must pick him at any cost no matter if quest rewards are sucky. I'm glad that the rewards are great for SK tho. Nice fitting reward for us especially that majority of SKs are following Innoruuk..

Innoruuk, of course.

For me he has only ever been the choice for a shadowknight, regardless of the abilities.

Bertoxulos (sp?) would have been a good choice as well (diety of disease) but he isnt comming back as yet.

Cazic Thule would be a natural choice for all Iksar however in a RP perspective

As would Rallos zek be for ogres

I've only done the Cazic line thus far on Beta, but I'll likely end up going Innoruuk (Inny wasn't put in until very late, so I went Cazic).Cazic's end blessing, the charm, actually is a very fun spell.It.. er... was sorta bugged in Beta. I had Lord Nagafen following me around as a pet for a bit. (Too bad I couldn't zone with him...)

A dev posted a while back in the beta boards that "quite a few" of the ct abilities actually root the mob while feared, so you won't be causing horrible trains (sadly :smileywink: ).I did Inny on beta though, so I can't comment on which ones root vs snare.

You only get to keep 2 of the list of spells on you at one time. The others you can swap out if you like, but you still only get 2. So that opens the door back up hopefully for some of you. Inny would be the best...if you got to use all of the spells. I'm going Rallos all the way.

honestly I'll just wait for EoF to come out so I can see the final state of these blessings. still it looks like most sk's prefer innoruk (cazic thule is going to hate me for this, better go into exile!)

I was a bit disappointed in beta to discover that the diety lines were fairly obvious about which classes would be best served by them, because the gods are supposed to be about adding flavor and distinction to players, and it's coming down to the usual "if you want to be the best in your class / if you want to be the most useful as your class on a raid, you'll worship __."

That being said, with my character's RPG backstory, her fiery temperment, and also the fact that I just loved Sol Ro in EQ1, I really wanted to worship Sol Ro. But most of his stuff is fire-based, making him "clearly" a diety "best suited" to wizards. I'm rather bummed that to have others view me as making the "right" choice for my class that I'm more or less forced towards Inny/Rallos/Cazic. I'll probably end up with Rallos for my diety just because I loved his encounter in EQ1.

I was a Marr enchanter in EQ1, but dieties there didn't really do much aside from allowing you to wear certain armor or jewelry, or occassionally cause you trouble with faction. I always thought it was a shame it didn't make more of a difference there, so I am glad to see how this diety system works out for EQ2.

I feel really sorry for the evil side healers. I know a few Inqs and Defilers that are going to betray because thy have absolutely no healing options on evil side.

I suppose the Gods were designed to add flavor and not as a third AA line for classes. I starting thinking about which Gods pick for my alts and I realized that some of them balance out the weakness of my characters well.Looking from a min/maxing point of view, or even from the point of view of someone who only raids casually or occaisionally, these abilities are unnecissary. It seems as though you are missing out on other abilities which will improve your role in a raid, or a group. Why do you want a wizard with the power of tunare or an inquisitor with the might of rallos? 'cause it's fun! Parity is boring anyway.Rylight - The faceless one knows where you are and what you are doing in those bushes.

First choosen Innoruuk, nice set of god spells for an SK (but i got a little trouble with his avatar after i took away his BP

choosed Cazic Thule after that, also nice god spells (but my faction is already bad with him)

we will see what the plaguebringer can do...

if i had free choice i would keep Cazic... fear is an mighty ally

Personaly i would have say that every SK should run all of the god quests f only to get the cloaks. I didnt find any of the God blessings/powers all that great for SKs. But the cloaks if you raid and are in a mage group(with a troub0 get the Ro cloak 65 to all spell dmg(that means any and all procs). Long fights where power is tight Inny's power tap. Heavy melee group make up(dirge w/zerker or bruiser) ya got Zek for DPS boost. Tanking toss on brell for the heals. Solo/PvP thul fear kicks [Removed for Content] buys ya time(ya I have feared an intire group in pvp with just a group taunt). These are my ideas for the gods of norath.

I know this thread is an older one that was recently resurrected, but my question kind of applies so I didn't want to start a new one...

If I wanted to do as the above poster suggests and do all the diety quests for the cloaks I wanted, would I be able to come back to a diety I had given up in the process? Or would I need to do the quest for the one I wanted to keep last. For example, can I pick Innoruuk now, then denounce and do the other quests and eventually come back to Innoruuk? Sorry if its a dumb question, I just haven't been able to find out how this works.

Well Im the unorthodox SK here ..... Cazic Thule is the one I chose... will be testing out more stuff on him... But other then raid wise ... Grouping is fun esp in a bind with Ids Release .. haveing bad day with sathir and adds in HoF with less then a group.. NP ;P other then that .. .The charm sucks hands down the Pet one is much better. But waiting on new expansion ... and will see about the tribunal.
