<DIV>Hello everyone, I am starting to play EQ2 and have been checking the boards out to get some tips from veterans and what not. What are they and how would a new starting player obtain these?<font color="#cc0000">Spell quality is as follows: Apprentice I, App II, App III, App IV, Adept I, Adept III, Master I, Master II</font><font color="#cc0000"></font><font color="#cc0000">App 1 are automatically learned as you level up until 50...after that you need to scribe spells because you don't auto-learn them. As you progress to the right of that list for a particular spell, it is increased in quality, be it duration of an effect, resistability, damage, heal amount, etc...the farthe to the right of that list, the better. Apprentice spells are cheap and made by crafters out of common harvest. Adept I books are dropped from creatures, Adept IIIs are player crafted, but this time out of Rare materials which are expensive unless you harvest them yourself. Master I spells are dropped in metal chests and any mob that can drop a chest has a small chance to drop a master around its level...if you want a particular master, say level 40, you need to kill mobs in the 40-43 range or so and hope for some luck. These are RARE for the most part, especially to people who don't raid, but these can also be bought from players off the broker, though they tend to be *very* expensive depending what server you play on. Named mobs have a higher chance to drop Masters, and epic named mobs have an even greater chance. Master II spells are trained at levels 34, 44, 54, 64 and you pick which one you want out of a list of 4 spells.</font></div> <div> </div> <div>2. What are gi's? I have seen someone post something about this regarding armor.<font color="#cc0000">Gi's are Bruiser/Monk only leather chest pieces that make them look like they are wearing some form of spandex with suspenders <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Some ore better looking than others.</font></div> <div> </div> <div>3. When I cast a combat art that mezz's or stuns, should i stop attacking cause I might break the mezz (stun)?<font color="#cc0000">Mezzs and Roots can break with damage, Stuns and Stifles will not.</font></div> <div> </div> <div>4. I have heard there are materials you can give to people to scribe spells, do you just harvest these from the world?<font color="#cc0000">Yes, depending on your class, you will need different materials. if you search around there should be a list for them somewhere. You can also buy these from other players on the brboker, but they are usually pretty expensive for new players.</font></div> <div> </div> <div>There is so much more, but I do not want to post a whole book and I am sure some of this I will pick up from learning in the game.</div> <div> </div> <div>Thanks for any help</div><hr></blockquote>Hope this clears some stuff up <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div><p>Message Edited by Razerblaze on <span class=date_text>11-03-2006</span> <span class=time_text>01:43 PM</span>

<DIV>Thank you for your help. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The only other questions I guess I can think of are</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. Are there a lot of class-specific quest to do, and if there are who offers them?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. What are all these adventure packs? Are they special areas like dungeons, or are they quest lines?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. I actually installed this game when it first came out and I never played it once. So when I tried to play the other day I have all these veteran rewards and junk to claim. Is any of this stuff useful?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks again.</DIV>
