<DIV>Level 13 SK / Level 25 Armorer</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Im am trying to level my SK in a way to ensure hes the best he can be at his level. Currently at 13 he is wearing all blackened Iron gear with legendary/master crafted items for the rest of the slots. Spells are all Adept III with a few Masters.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have been trying to obtain all masters before i level up (currently combat exp is off) </DIV> <DIV>My question is it possible to obtain Master spells throughout the level ranges solo (without buying) and if so where would be the best places till 20 to obtain masters.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Currently I run through sunken city/sprawl/graveyard and hunting names but can only do this so often before i fall asleep.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am having fun with this guy building him up slowly...  you can really see the difference that good armor/spells will do for you as you upgrade. Currenly I can kill (level 13^^^ group encounter) solo, not sure if this is anyway a feat but sure is fun <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Ok, kinda mixed on this.  I don't want to reply and tell you what your doing is wrong since it's your money but on the other hand, if you really want, you can hit 20 in a day and 30 in another few, etc.  If you really want to do nothing but master out then you're on the right track.  But the jump in tiers really makes "maxing out" almost silly, especially at that tier.  At the very least wait until around your 30's where at least your abilities won't be so overshadowed.  Getting Masters specifically for SK is hard enough, but getting them all by solo drops is [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] near impossible for a career decision.  Personally I think your a tad on the crazy side but hey, if that's how you have fun, more power to you, though I dopn't see fun as falling asleep at the keyboard.</P>

<DIV>Hmmm.  Well, in the 20's there are some named in Fallen Gate that can be solo'ed but I do not remember if they drop masters.  I'd say after that it gets pretty impossible.  You will not be soloing named in Runnyeye in your mid 30's that is for sure.</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks for your replies, your information is appreciated.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I can tell you first hand that SK master drops are hard to come by. Out of 12 master spells that have dropped for me so far only 1 has been an SK. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is a general rule of thumb that any name can and will drop a master ?</DIV> <DIV>I have been hunting in the Steelbone family crypt going after the the named in there but out of 6 attempts no master chests...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>good hunting</DIV>

Seems a little pointless too me in all honesty. Your much better just power levelling to 30+ and starting your leveling method from there.

<DIV>Just an FYI for the peeps thinking that you need to powerlevel to 30+++  is an requirement to enjoy this game is a little overwhelming. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>True it takes barely any effort to level up but the whole point of my little SK experiment is to enjoy all the lower level zones in thier fullest while they are actually a challenge to do so, but at the same time giving myself an edge by having the best gear/spells.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Play the way you want, if 70 and raids is your stlyle than go go go.....  if you want to relax for abit and enjoy the ride than turn off your combat exp and enjoy the challenge.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>PS. </DIV> <DIV>I rushed through the good side and barely remember those early zones....  doubt i even saw a name in most of those zones.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Obviously, do what you enjoy, it is a game, but camping nameds to find masters is hardly a way to experience all the content.  The only way to do it without sailing through those levels is to sit and camp the named spawns.  Nobody here is saying rush, they are just saying you seem to be putting in a lot of work for a very minimal payoff.  If what you are doing is fun, then you should definitely keep doing it.  However, if you point is to develop your character to enhance you ability to access high level content later, you effort is not going to pay good returns because you will not be ahead of the the rushers when you get to 30.  That is all folks are saying.

<P>I'm doing almost the exact same thing as the OP. I'm currently level 23, and since level 9, have been entirely decked out in masters / adept3 / mastercrafted. It is a blast. I'm exploring new areas that I was never able to see before. Right now, I have free run of Wailing Caves, and solo every named mob in the place, including the final ring event named. If I didn't deck myself out in such a way, I *would* be missing content, because I would outlevel these zones (again) before I ever got to see them all. And it's a heck of a lot more fun killing them when they're still challenging than coming back later when everything is grey.</P> <P>Then again, I don't consider the point of the game simply to get to the endgame. The ride is more fun to me.</P>

<blockquote><hr>GuardianKing wrote:I got a master of a green no heroic mob the other day. This was the secon time i had seen this.<hr></blockquote>I've had it happend a couple of times. The last time it was even for my class (I was playing my fury at that time). What the OP is doing sound interesting to me, certainly more fun that power-levelling. However, I think aiming for all masters may be a little too much. Certainly once I started to find the current level tedious I would turn on xp and go up to the next one.<div></div>

<DIV>Yes.... Trying to obtain all masters has become a bit of a nightmare.  So i have modified my experiment a bit  to level up if i have gotten the master for the next level.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> And Yes I also started buying rerasonable priced spells... if and when i see them. Key here is reasonable priced spell...  2pp for a level 12 sk master bahhhh</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Slow process but hopeing to hit all the zones before i outgrow them. With that in mind does anyone have a good site that lists zones by levels ?</DIV> <DIV>Been looking at sites but havnt found one that lists them by level.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Level 15 now and just 7 masters but they range from level 10-16...  wont worry about the baby ones.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>good hunting</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I would suggest getting to level 20, that way you can level really slowly from there, see everything and kill almost every named in the game all while getting AA XP. I think it would be a real achievement to get masive amounts of AA while still at the lower levels. Most people do not explore much or get all the named kills under their belt.
