Hello and welcome to Shadowknightism! :smileytongue:

Looking back at my profession choice I can honestly say that I wish I had gone with Alchemy or maybe Carpentry. Alchemy because you can make your own Adept 3 spells or make huge profits by making them for others, which is so not the case for Weaponsmiths (yours truly). Carpentry because you can fill your house with cool stuff and make boxes to put items in during your adventures or whatever. But, becasue I play a Shadowknight I wanted to match the 'role' if you will, so I went with Weaponsmithing since making sharp, pointy, or heavy crushing things is badass, and as you know SK = badass it was a no brainer at the time. With EoF coming soon there will be some other interesting tradeskill abilities to consider such as tinkering and transmutating.

Message Edited by Vexorkane on 10-30-2006 03:42 PM

I made an armorship so that I could keep myself outfitted in the best armor (crafted from rares). It works until you get to T7. At that time, the armor from drops starts becoming better. I am not selling much as an armorer now, and have not made a ton of coin. I have an alchemist alt and think it would make a great combination with SK. If I had not already had the alchemist, I would have done that with SK. The potions can be of tremendous help. Each one does not sell for much, but it is easy to sell a bunch of them. Alchemist can make coin, if they sell poisons/potions.Good luck

I chose provisioner simply because I hate paying people for consumable items. and SK really does need to be using the most powerful drink you can at all times, due to us being mana pigs. You also can make a good deal of money if you know which food items to craft for coin. For weapon, really go with whatever you think is cool, and look at your AA tree for idea's of which weapon will suit you best. As a shadowknight you will want a good shield and one hand combo as well as a good solid twohander at all times

Message Edited by Diernes on 10-31-2006 03:26 PM

I chose provisioner as i already had an alchemist. i'd still rather have had an alchemist (if i could only have one) as i tired of provisioner early on.

I Carry All 3 types of Weapons Pierce/Slash/Crush To keep my Skills in these Weapons going up while I level. Would suck to get a 1h Pierce Fable weapon and have Snit for skill in it and have to work that skill up stinks. So I just keep them up while leveling. As for profession ArmorAlchyProvisioner In that order if I had too choose.

Message Edited by GuardianKing on 10-31-2006 09:16 AM

i went armorer and wish i hadnt. if i had to do over i would have gone alchemy. the pots are useful, especially the int pot and being able to craft your own spell upgrades is essentual in saving money. its easy to find mastercrafted armor and weapons i fyou arent looking for wierd stuff like kukri's or something. sure finding an alchemist to make your upgrades isnt horribly difficult either but i tend to buy an entire set of armor and weapons when i hit the lvl mark for mastercrafted. i dont buy an entire 10 lvls of upgrades at a time for my spells though so you look more often for an alchemist imo and often not find one easily. my experience anyways.

as far as weapons go, id keep all of them up in skill and use what ever is best at the earlier levels. you willmost likely go with the INT line of AA first since it a no brainer with an sk for the spell crits. after that its a matter of preference and what you want to do with your sk, tank vs dps. you really wont have to worry about that stuff though until much later in your career. im 64 and just not getting into AA where my weapon choice is a concern for the abilities i get frm the AA line. even then alot of people swap weapons during combat to use them.
