Im having alot of fun with mine.   Considering im only 33 atm, they seem quite good.  I can train yellow ^'s 3 levels higher  with barely a pause as long as i use drink/totem for power regen.  By the time i loot my power is up and i can pull another.   Hp dont matter with lifetaps.

SK's rock. But I don't think good is the proper term.  I love playing my SK though. Right now he's pretty much my main.<div></div>

I love my sk. So much Im thinking about rolling a new one when EoF comes out. (I AM actually gonna roll a new enchanter when EoF comes out. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ) The only class I like as much is the coercer. Both of them are just adorable!<div></div>

I've played my SK since the day I started the game and I wouldn't take any of the time back. Fun class, versitle class and all around sexy <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.

<P>Decent all around player. If you really get to know the class and the nuances they are great tanks. It isn't a meatshield style tank that wins because it just has a huge buffer of HP to make the healers job easy. SK is more self reliant and for me it seems that deciding my play style has more to do with power management. A meatshield has to live with what he has for healing, but as SK you can vary attacks between low power no heal types of attacks when you have sufficient healing or go to the heals and wards as needed. And if you arent MT, then INT buff and change gear to high int and pour on the DPS =)</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>My first EQ1 toon was a SK that I made on a friend's computer a week or so after Kunark launched.  When I got my own copy of EQ a few weeks later I made a ranger first and then a wizzie, but it was not long before I started an SK that instantly became my main and stayed that way until I quit EQ right after getting EP access.  I thought when EQ2 came out I should do something different so my first main was a guardian which I got to level 25 before jumping to WoW because EQ2 had so many issues at launch.  I came back when I realized WoW was horrible and I started a dirge as my main which I've gotten to level 56, but I have not played him in a few weeks because I started an SK.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Either you are an SK or you are not.  You will never be anyone's first choice for a tank as an SK because while anyone can play a guardian passingly well somebody who does not know what they are doing as an SK can be a real big problem.  You also will have a harder time in the end game getting raiding opportunities.  However, a well played SK can fill any roll well.  You can tank, especially in single groups.  You can be DPS.  You can solo.   Most importantly to me is you just have style.  They are flat out fun to play becuase they are anti-paladins and who does not enjoy a dark knight?  Someone who enjoys being a jack-of-all-trades and can handle being perceived by others who do not know you as a master of none (you can be a pretty effective raid tank as an SK, its just hard to get others to accept it) could not pick a better class.</DIV>

<P>SK's aren't good. They're Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat! <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>Sorry, it had to be done, but in all seriousness, yes SK's are the best class out there. We have a little bit of everything to choose from. We tank. We have a pet. We heal. We cast. We solo phenomenally. We group just as well. We do dishes. We get out tough stains. Really, there's not much we can't do. </P> <P>I love my SK and have since I started playing him and I'll probably love him until the game is shut down. With so much versatility, it's hard NOT to love him. He's dreeeeeeamy. <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<DIV>If would hate to play an SK PvE.  If I played PvE however, I think my tendancy would be to hit lvl 70 and raid... it's already been stated that most guilds don't prefer them... I think NE Plus Ultra on Guk flat out refuses to use them (thought I just heard that a while ago).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyways, if you're talking about PvP and if you're talking about knowing your class and working to gear him out and make him a consolidation of power, SK's are, imo, the BEST class to PvP with between levels 20-49.  I'm only 44 so I can't talk about 50+, and lots of classes get incredibly stronger 50+ whereas, from what I've seen and heard, SK's don't.  However for PvP btw 20-50, SK's are incredibly good PvE solo, they are good in groups for farming and exping, they are AWESOME, hands down flat out AWESOME at PvP.  Many ppl stereotype them as crappy middle of the road, poor excuses for tank that rely too much on Harm Touch.  I can say that it's been my experience that 1v1, I can beat, easily, 75% of classes my level, 20-50 w/o using Harm Touch or it's upgrades.  Since world PvP isn't honorable or safe, I do end up relying upon HT a lot but it's still really fun. Your ward is amazing and ppl misjudge you all the time... your life taps keep you up a lot longer than ppl anticipate.  Basicially, for me, I only had to use HT when (1) fighting a caster that kept me chain rooted ESP coercers, Pett <Pawn Shop> is a beast ;P, (2) good healers - you run them out of power but typically it's still hard to finish them if they have better in combat power regen than you, (3) scouts that pop their breastplate of undeath - it's usually hard enough to even run from them so HT is a perfectly fair counter to their overpowered item lol.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>but yeah, thats it in a nut shell.  oh the AA lines are fun too and theres a lot of variable strategy you can apply to playing them.  enjoy... and pallys are boring as hell.</DIV>

Any Healer will own us, if they use the out of combat regen "exploit". Its a sad fact of life I wish sony did something about. Combat regen should be disabled when attacked<div></div>
