Is the pet you get at 26 of any use in PVP situations. Anyone else use it regularly?

pet is one of the SKs best DoTs. I made sure to get adept3 at least in every tier.

pet exposes hidden Qs and will chase running Qs or atk/interupt Qs while you're rooted.

My master t7 pet does LOTS of damage in PVP! she is hot too.

Yeah .. pet is especially the most mana efficient dot .. in long fights where you run OOM best you can do is just use primary manastone, pet and blessing. Thats at least what i found works best when i PvP against Palas .. or solo maybe nameds in the Nest.

pet is very useful in pvp when you have the time to cast it. on other plate fighters its really easy to cast and a bit of extra damage, on monks it can be a bit harder to cast due to there quick dps and stuns, but if cast they can do quite a bit of damage. on scouts its very brutal but may be hard to cast due to there quick dps ands stuns. however if cast it can break there invis's and do quite a bit of damage. I suggest you RARELY USE YOUR PET ON A MAGE, unless you a). get the jump on the mage and have time to cast it, b) are fighting an illusionist/coercer c) run out of spells to cast, d) are rooted and have run out of long range spells. the reason I say this is because casting a pet can take quite a bit, and if given the chance, a mage can do some mad damage on you in a quick amount of time, and taking the time to cast your pet can be fatal, direct damage and stuns are the best way to go agianst a mage considering they dont have alot of life, however if your going to cast your pet try to stun the mage first, this way he cant interrupt you while casting. however I will also admit pets do quite a bit of damage on mages, (espicially an illusionist) healers, well its just a little bit of damage and an overall distraction, however I have heard that the pet can stun, so maybe its worth casting?

A while back, I had a fight with a Troubador and my pet saved my butt and prolonged the fight out to about 15min. I would summon the pet right as the troub was stunning me, he'd be too busy with pet to do any real damage to me and I'd get unstunned for just long enough to toss off a life tap and summon again, before I got hit with another stun. That pet whittled him down to almost nothing and no power to cast. He got just enough when I missed casting the pet to deliver a massive strike from behind to finish it. The pet in PvP is very useful if you can get him out in time. Definitely upgrade him for better damage.

so our pets can interrupt casting huh? I really should have known this by now but wasnt really sure, man you learn something new everyday, in that case I'll be sure to cast it more on casters when I get the chance.

Seen it quite a few times.
Message Edited by roxer2b on 10-04-2006 12:38 AM
