Hmm i recently spotted many topics which were claiming that death march maintains steady aggro on sk is is true? , because it doesnt say that it affects aggro on spell so i am curious

Had a real mess today in Vaults. Was me, two necros, dirge, fury, and warlock. Dirge accidentally agroed two huge groups, and promptly went down. I tossed up Death March and Pestilence, and got all the agro in seconds. </div>

Yep Deathmarch rocks now, its like a aoe rescue, it doesnt "steadly maintain" agro, but it will snap agro towards you when you cast it if any mobs arent already heavely taunted. If used wisely a SK can now maintain a almost zerker like aoe agro.<div></div>

i don't main tank,but have been hitting march when tank/healer can't keep up.yank the mobs off him then when he's healed up FD and throw it all back on him. it works awesome

The Agro is the best part of this spell, it moved us way up the agro chain in fighters.

Ty for your replies its good to see another aoe taunt even with 3 min recast, and btw does aggro comes from march itself (1 min dur) or from on the march ( 10 sec duration )?

From what Ive seen a compination of casting the spell itself and the 10 second buff, in the raid format when Ive gotten aggro and am not MTing the tank alot of times will gain the aggro back after the 10 second time expires.

Aggro. doesn't magically vanish after 10 seconds passes. Death March is around a 20,000 Hate AE Taunt, plus whatever you generate by suddenly adding an extra 200 DPS to yourself, and more to your groupmates. The only way the tank'll regain aggro. is if you did nothing that fight besides use DM, or if he uses some kind of Hate drain / Rescue / some other trick. Use Death March, be prepared to pull aggro.<div></div>

<DIV>even with rescue, if it's a multi mob encounter, the guard is going to have a hard time pulling aggro off of you... HT is pretty much AOE rescue, very nice, and I'd like to see it included in more raid strats...</DIV>

I had seen other SK kept getting killed almost all the time during Relic run while I didn't get killed one single bit for entire raid time.. I told him that he needed to stop casting DM if he didn't want to get killed or don' t know how to cast it in right time then don't cast it at all. So far, I've mostly used DM while single grouping. (Aside from the obligatory dying 5 times while figuring it out on my first raid with it...)Observations are that it definitely persists past the 10 seconds. I don't *think* that On The March firing again after the initial cast generates more hate - I think it's only the initial case.In grouping, so far it's been absolutely beautiful. I tend to save it for multiple encounter pulls - and especially when someone else in the group accidentally pulls aggro. And after I use it, I have aggro. Period. Provided my group is assisting off of me, they can go all out and I won't lose a single mob. (I'm nearly always grouped with an assassin, which also helps.)Raiding, I won't touch it until 40% or lower. Some people have mentioned popping it right before the pull to give the puller immunities, and that may be something to try.Has anyone noticed whether the hate generated is at all dependant upon the number of people in the group? (It would make a kind of sense that a group buff would generate more hate if it is buffing more people, but I don't know...)<div></div>

Personally I dislike this aggro component. Ist it a bug?As a Shadowknight I prefer being the off-tank. There usually is a guardian or berserker to tank ... especially on raids. I love the 60% casting speed and int-buff, but this insane aggro makes Death March only useful in very few occasions ... unless you are the MT ... which, most of the time, I am not. Even though I may be the only one to do so, but I hope they fix that soon =)

<P>I am still dying in raids for using it to try to save mages when I'm not buffed for raid tanking, yesterday I was still snapping group agro the same as before with it in PoA. Serioulsy I love this spell.. and it sucks I can't use it in raids except at the end of a fight when the MT has so much agro I couldn't rescue it off him if I tried. Yeah they seemed to of nerfed it, which I hate. I want the ability of snap aggro, it still produces nice hate, but not awsome hate like it used too it seems. We always seem to get the short end of the stick on these things.

If you cast DM at roughly 80% and are still taking agro, then truth be told your MT is doing half as good a job as they should be, or you need to look at group set up, against a tank that tries this will only ever take agro in the first few seconds of a fight, beyond that they should have agro locked down.<div></div>
