<DIV>I'm starting up an SK and wanted to make educated decisions when outfitting him through his life.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>First, If Str and Wis make their power pool, Str and Int determine their dps (CA and Spells), Sta is hps and Agi is avoidance, doesn't that put the SK at a disadvantage when trying to maximize stats? You have so much ground to cover to truely excel.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Second, which effects your power pool more, Str or Int? Or equal? And which effects your dps more, Str or Int? Or equal?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Third, can SKs solo farily effectively? For example, I've tried a Paladin for a short while, but the dps was a bit too painful to bear. I would imagine the SK is a bit more offensively designed?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lastly, does the SK do an equal job at tanking as the other three plate tanks?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I thank you in advance for your time!</DIV> <DIV>Laer</DIV>

SKs are slightly more offence oriented than Pallies......slower than some classes DPS wise, faster than others. <blockquote><hr>CHIMPNOODLE. wrote:<DIV><FONT color=#ff0066>most SK spells and CAs are disease based, not melee based.</FONT></DIV><hr></blockquote>jsut one thing to point out, disease CAs are still STR based for their initial hit (such as agony), any DoT component is then INT based.

never claimed agony had a DoT component, simply used it to referance a melee CA that does disease damage that scales with STR not INT.

Pariah's Brand, Smash, Death Circle, Hammer Ground, Swiftaxe, etc. AA powers benefit from Str., as well as the powers mentioned here.<div></div>

<P>Ahh....Pariahs yes. That's the one. Death circle too...I have Hammer ground as well, but not swiftaxe.</P> <P>That gives me 4 CAs melee based (initial strike anyway) and 1 AA. The majority are non-melee so INT will have more weight.</P><p>Message Edited by CHIMPNOODLE. on <span class=date_text>09-22-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:04 AM</span>
