And that normally is around 5-600 i think. On the other hand .. my 70 Conjurer with tankpet does something like 4-500 when doing the same.

In a group enviroment I can push higher numbers and solo I can push about 700-800 the last time I tried. This was on AE mobs though and before i got most of my masters. I'll have to check what I can get up to now =P.

Oh, I have no doubt that in a raid environment, with the right group, an SK will push some serious dps. But I did have in mind more of the solo SK, one target at a time.

As most have said, DPS on an SK varies a lot and is very gear/AA/situation dependent, with a bit of luck thrown in from the crit side. If I get some time tonight before the raid, I'll do a couple different parses: single targets in bonemire (spiders, basilisks, droags), group pulls on bonemire, group pulls on gazer isle.

Just from memory, I pull 600-800 dps on single targets solo and can pull 1000-1300 on group pulls.

Equipment: http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=310178103

My AA setup is STR 4-4-5-4-8 and INT 8-8-8

I've been wanting to try out STR 4-4-8, STA 4-4-8, and INT 4-4-8, so I may post dps figures with both setups.

EDIT - I have about 14-15 Masters...a couple Adept 3s and the rest Adept 1 from 57-70.

Message Edited by lamalas on 09-25-2006 09:34 AM
Lots of nice comments guys. I havent gotten too far along in my SKs (I threebox the same class - see sig). I have a bit more difficulty keeping up on spells and items. I tend to have all three nuke, the AE disease DOT/debuff, then just cycle through my CAs. If one guy pulls aggro, the next guy in the group uses his encounter threat increaser to pull aggro, and keep cycling through to spread out damage. Not working too bad so far.I can tell that they arent in the same tier as my Conjurers, Necros or Warlocks. They hold up much better than my Troubador/Dirges, and do more damage than them. The Bruisers seem to do about the same DPS wise, maybe slightly better. Thanks guys,Mal

proper group setup + debuffs + understanding the one subtle difference between a spell and a CA = a long way down the right path

Casting time. Combat Arts don't interrupt autoattack, but spells do. You time your spells between melee swings. And I don't see how pulling large groups of enemies artificially inflates my DPS numbers. I'm using AEs, in a situation that calls for AEs. If I actively strive to create a situation for optimal DPS in a group, I'm not artificially inflating my numbers.. I'm just, you know, using my brain.Solo.. 600 - 800 is not too hard to achieve.
