I have a friend in qeynos who I'd like to play my SK with, i know i can't betray as I'll simply become a pally, can you function as an exile? I've heard people mention it, but I have no clue as to what that entails. Will i be able to enter the city safely, but not get quests or use vendors? Is it a bad way to function?<div></div>

Or, you could just play near Qeynos while remaining allied to FP.<div></div>

Indeed. Thing is, though, most Qeynos quests have near-identical Freeport counterparts. You can just take turns helping each other run your low-level quests. Once you're around 50, quests are sort of 'neutral', for the most part: either citizenry can run them.<div></div>

<DIV>The best will be just to take a ticket to Thundering Steppes and meet with your friend in Antonica, as long as your below level 20, over 20 there is no difference in content for FP or Qeynos Chars, you travel to Nek Forest or TS and can do whatever you want there. And until you've made the betrayal quest and grindet enough faction that the guards are not aggro to you you will be not far away from 20.</DIV>

Haven has vendors, black market, tradeskill centers, a bank, mender, mail, etc. You can use any merchants that aren't city specific -- so you can use the ones in TS, Nek, Antonica, CL, Zek, EL, DoF, etc.</div>

If you are on a PvE server you'll have no trouble going all over Queynos eventually either, at higher levels. All the guards are greyed out except a couple wandering epics in 1 zone (South or North Q only...can't remember which as it's been awhile since I "visited").
I did the betrayal on my conjurers recently. Prior to becoming a conjurer I used merchants in the city.Chimp, I guess you mean while still aligned with Freeport. Once I betrayed and raised my faction to Amiable with Qeynos through the Sabotage quests I could go anywhere I wanted at 18th.What Im curious about is what quests you can do for Qeynos if still an Exile? I dont like FP, but want to stay Necromancer and Shadowknight on those characters. If its just having amiable faction you can do that as an exile. You wouldnt have class specific quests of course.Mal<div></div>

Qeynos bites. Gingerbread houses and marble towers aren't my idea of a nice place to live. Give me cold stone walls, seedy bars, slums, and eternal sunsets, any day of the week. Twice on Tuesday.<div></div>
