dark elf.  every characters i ever had in eq was a dark elf.  i loved ultra vision.  although thats not really important in eq2 now, i still love dark elves.  i have a few half elves also now.  as far as SK goes though, it would either be a dark elf following Innorruuk or an iksar following cazic thule.  i might entertain a ratonga sk cuz they do look good in full plate and their animations are good but i doubt it.

Human here.  Was a human in EQ1.  The elven races just exude frailty and weakness to me and I don't feel like looking at an ogre or troll's backside whenever in 3rd person camera view.  I'm not big on tails so that cuts out kerrans, ratonga and iksar, and gnomes as shadowknights are an abomination that should be laughed at and belittled at every turn.<div></div>

Barbarian - they've got the good stats/racial traits to help in the beginning, but frankly I wish I had picked something more imaginative. Female Iksar would be my choice if I were re-rolling any tank: the male Iksars have disproportionately smaller heads and just look weird (6' tall, big chest/shoulders, little pin head).

I was a Dark elf in EQ1.I chose a human male for eq2. Humans are the dominating force on Norrath, Innoruuk at one time actually chose a human shadowknight to be his champion. (Lhranc). Also in a game mechanics sense I prefer the racial traits humans get for a tank.Human ftw.<div></div>
