I was having a discussion about shadowknights with another shadowknight a alittle while back.. I was saying they needed work, the shadowknight said they were fine just because of there dps.. Now this shadowknight puts out about 1k dps (as much as I do as a ranger in most cases) and I was thinking to myself after this SK's dps was his retort.. So I was thinking, if he does 1k dps then what are shadowknights on the higher end?So.. What is the highest raidwide parsings you can give as shadowknights? If my theroies are right, shadowknights are looking at 1.3k-1.5k dps topend (much like rangers lol <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />). Are my thoughts completely busted? Or do we as players need to step back and ask where SK's are?So... Alittle while longer passes and shadowknights slip into my thoughts again (bored <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />) - so if shadowknights are doing the same damage as brawlers.. Do shadowknights still taunt as well or better than brawlers with similar utility? Or is there a tradeoff?Im just rambelling here putting out my thoughts, im not really saying one way or the other.. Im just trying to look at the class a diffrent way thats all, im not going to say I know much about SK's - when I dont.. All I know - I take agro from SK's in groups because I open up on mobs hard, and parsings I see in my own guild. Its not a subject I can dive into like rangers/assassins.

shadow knights dont have great dps, not bad dps but not great, we have the worst taunting as well as the lowest hp of the tanks... we do have a bigger blue bar and lifetaps. I think that SK needs a little love, but the people who dissagree with me always claim the Harm touch line balances it, which I dont buy into. We do have some of the best cross functionality of any tank though, with a feign death that can be applied to us or others, and being able to heal others (some) and having an evac.We are versitle, but I think the weakest of the tanks.  We dont need much luvin but I think we do need some.<div></div>

Totally depends how you build your character, personally I went for a defensive build, and dont have health issues, can easily keep up with most warriors as far as that goes, as for base stats...Crusader: Highest Power/Lowest HealthWarrior: Balanced Power/HealthBrawler: Highest Health/Lowest PowerThough this is not the case in the high end, it's entirely how you wish to build your character. Yes, we do have agro issues, but it's not bad. We are however, very versatile, we can do many things, but do not excel in one thing in particular. Though, we are the best solo plate class out there. Just earlier today, I solo'd a Level 71^^^ with ease.

Good in theoryWhat I'm saying is I dont think we have the highest power pool, regardless of how you build your character or that breakdown, its well documented in various threads. It's due to poor design on sony's part. For example the bug where bonuses stop when one power giving  stat is capped. I have speced for strength and wisdom yet the warrior classes of the same level and comparable gear always seem to have a larger power pool than me .........<div></div>

That breakdown was not based on personal opinion, it was stated by SOE, although I must agree, I'm not sure how well I believe it.
