Okay I've quit WoW because there is just no world PvP and it's boring so I thought I'd try EQ2 because my friends are playing it. After looking at a bunch of classes it seems like SKs are pretty good in PvP and they seem an interesting class to play. I've looked up a bunch of guides but most of them are out of date so I had some really basic question while EQ2 is installing xD1) What is the best race if I am planning to make a pvp-centric character? 2) What is the actual cooldown on HT, I've seen everything from 15-90 minutes in various guides.3) What are the main abilities people use in PvP with the SK? I mean your average engagement scenarioI know these are noob questions I could probably find with a few hours on the forum but it's almost installed so thanks for any help you can give

1. It doesnt matter in end game.

2. 15minutes

3. Hit the I Win button, smash buttons.

#1) It really doesn't matter as you can boost stats through armor, jewelry, etc. So play a race that you enjoy looking at since you have 70 levels to look at it for.

#2) 15 min

#3) Main ability I use for PvP? More than the Heinous Touch, I use the blessing line. With the ability to do damage and heal you, I've won more than a couple of battles like that. Also the shield bash line is something I use whenever it refreshes. It stops your opponent from what he's doing and gives you a couple of free shots.

If you're serious about PvP action, dont bother w/ anything that's not a scout type. Personally, I'd suggest a brigand or ranger. Although SK's are [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] near unbeatable every 15 mins in a 1v1 fight w/ the right AA lines (talking end game)- the truth of the matter is, you will rarely ever see a 1v1 fight. You will get ganked by groups of players. An SK is bound to see less 1v1 PvP action because we dont natively see stealth, invis nor can we track (which is the best ability in PvP).

Wardens & Bruisers rock in PvP as well, but once again no tracking. GL.

If you will be spending most of your time grp'ing during PvP, yeah an SK will suit you nicely if you want both dmg, plate mitigation & taunts. I've been involved in some raid PvP w/ my SK & the parses from an SK are pretty impresive. We got more PBAOE's then any other fighter class. Also, Death March is golden in PvP.

Message Edited by Notorious_GIB on 08-18-2006 12:59 AM

if you go all the way down the STR AA line, you can HT once every 13.5 min.
