Was thinking about how the Shadowknight is such a unique class. And I got this thought about how we can really stand out.What do you think about SKs being the only REAL 2hander fighter class. I know we had some 2hander skills that are now gone. Hear me out on this.We take out the shield stun and replace it with another skill similar to it except it requires a 2hander (still get the stun effect and the hate gain) or we can replace it with a mez that adds hate over time then automatically breaks after a while. To make up for the lost defense from not using a shield, they add more HP to our lifetaps/give us more lifetaps and give a bigger boost to our def stance. Or they can make Despoiling Mist and Despoil, in encounter MIT taps, we get like a 15% to 25% return from each mob. Only downside to the whole in encounter MIT tap would that wed be kinda sad against single mobs (kinda the case now). Making us a 2hander class would also help generate more mate since well be getting hit a lot more, and we can make up for it with MIT taps and bigger or more life taps.Dont know why I thought about this, maybe its because the 2hander is kinda a back up rather than a main. And that kinda sucks since there are some sick 2handers.What do you guys think? <div></div>

I never use a 2hander, thats why I thought about this. Even when I am DPSing I dont use a 2hander. I always use sword and board or sword and symbol.<div></div>

Yeh... Maybe a full on 2hander class was a bit much. Maybe a few 2hander skills here and there would give the same effect.The % deal is something that I have alwasy thought about. I hate the fact that our life taps have solid numbers on it. I would love having % instead, it would give us a better chance at tanking raid mobs since 500 hp is nothing when hit by an epic mob. A % base on our life taps would be awesome, or at least a single life tap that was % based would be good... hate buffers or stealers never get old or useless because its a % not a fixed number. An ancient spell that gives us a certian % of a mobs life would be a HUGE asset to SKs.<div></div>

its too limiting as covered above.what would work better is to have an AA line for it. in EoF we're getting class specific AAs and deity ... stuff (not sure if its deity based AAs or some other alternate progression). i beleive that through AAs is the best way to add uniqueness. I'd definatly love to see a 2h specialisation option, although its unliekly that i'd choose it.

Turn Despoil into an armor tap. Good idea.Turn lifetaps into %-based. Bad idea. I already heal myself for tens of thousands of damage on raids as MT. It'd be nice to put healers out of a job, but let's not get too greedy, here. Maybe -one- lifetap, as an AA, which drains a %. I dunno.<div></div>

I dunno.<div></div><hr></blockquote>One % based life tap would be enough IMO. You guys have any thoughts on how the AAs will be like? What kind of specializations are ther gonna be if any? I would hope for a life tap based AA line or an AA line that really increases our power to what was intended. A pure debuffing AA line would be nice too. </div>

Good idea.<BR><BR> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE><BR>i disagree.  first off the wont do this since it would boost our mit above warriors and they would bleed all over whining about it.  2nd, if they did this they would most assuredly lower our mit to compensate for the boost as to not be above warriors in this regard forcing us to use this all the time just to achieve average mit.  i remember this from eq1 and what a pain in the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] casting all those attack and armor taps.  while interesting in concept, having to do it on every fight was tedious.

When I raid or MT I always cast despoil when its up. Its not very time consuming or hard to do. And yes I realize it would basically bump our mit extremely high, but its on a timer and very rarely do you see a group of 4 mobs. Maybe 25% was too much, 3% to 5% would be enough to make it a valid MIT tap. I think we need different kinds of taps to add to the class flavor. The power we have does not offset the lack HP we have. If not a MIT tap, how about a better power tap. Mana Sieve is alright, I use it only because it costs nothing to use, it is severely underpowered.<div></div>
