Hello there, I am coming to EQ 2 from WoW and am strongly considering the Shadow Knight Class. I played EQ 2 before but left because of the buggy combat (not real time at all), but I suppose thats better then WoW's heavy raid focus. The Question= If the "Legoinare's Wrath" AA increases spell crit chance, while the "Legionare's Mercy" AA increase heal spell crit chance, which do lifetaps fall under? Would I have to pump points into the mercy to increase my lifetap crits? or is all I need as a SK the Wrath AA?This will really help me decide =).

because SK heals are life taps, they fall under damage spells as thats their primary component.to my knowledge we dont benefit at all from heal crit.when a life tap crits, both damage and heal component count as a crit.wrath is all you need, although i think a lot of PVP sk's get the end ability for the spell reflection, but that aint my game, so best wait for one of them to chime in really.

so the damage portion and the heal portion did not match? That is something worth looking into, but then again I am not sure how debuffs effect life taps either. If a someone (dirge etc) debuffs disease damage on a target i know it increase your lifetap damage, but does the heal get increased as well? That may be what lead you to recieve to different numbers, or maybe the heal portion of lifetaps goes off a different crit rate, making the +to crit heal AA usefull after all?

debuffs dont effect the heal amount.and generaly if my life tap crits so does the heal. so if i pull enough to get tap veins to hit 8 times, i get about 8 crit heals for around 600. its pretty reliable. but perhaps they work on seporate crit chances, but still seems to work from damage crit, not heal crit.

You dont need to have ANY points in heal criticals

as our Spells crits work for our life taps - when the dmg crits - so does the heal (yes also works for blessing line) it means i can get 1.2k dmg and 605 healed from a tap veins crit ! and thats EACH target..... just awesome.
