<DIV>I started my SK on Nagafen about 2 weeks after it went live, I still managed to be one of the first SKs  to level 60. I played the hell out of that toon and along with other fast track XP ended up in one of the better guilds on the server. I mention this establish that I know the class well enough to see a change over time. So why are my spells hitting for less and less with each update? All of my spells seem to be doing about 50-75% of what they were doing a month ago. I already loath playing this toon because every time i log this one on, it seems weaker than it was the week before. Is there some reason we (or maybe its just me) keeps getting gimped? I already started a new main on Nagafen just so that I can feel some joy in the game, before I totaly drop this t7 toon-is there any thing coming up to make us either much better MTs or much better dpsers?</DIV>

It's funny you mention this, because I recently turned L52 and upgraded all my gear to the latest crafted, and yet, don't really feel that powerful any more.  The last time I did a gear overhall (at ~40-42) it felt like a big change.<div></div>

People are getting wiser and increasing thier disease resist on the Q side.We haven't seen a nerf in many LUs, well not a stated nerf/change that is. I feel like I'm more deadly after the gear changes in the last LU (less resists across the board for crafted junk) But then I'm a noob (only 5<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.<div></div>

There's no real change in damage at Level 70 on my end. All feels the same.<div></div>

I kind of agree with the op.  I am having a hard time doing damage to other toons at the 70 mark.  My spells also get resisted a lot and I am mostly ad3 and master.   I would love to see the developers give us another 1-2 nice damage spells or increase our damage on our spells.  Just my opinion.

I dont think its really that your getting weaker as others are getting/were better, ive played an sk since release and they have never recieved much attention when its seroiusly due, <div></div>

<P>i have no problem with my damage at level 70. i'm always in the top 2-3 of the parse for any instance run.</P> <P>as for pvp, again, i have no problems here. Q's are getting wiser and getting more resist gear for the primary dmg type of Freeps. however, with the SK group taunt/debuff and agony couple with +34 disruption from my AA line, i can negate a lot of their resists.</P> <P>so in other words, other players are getting smarter. you can't expect to play the same way and not adapt when something changes. you gotta play smarter than they do <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

Are you sure that adding lots of +disruption negates resists?  Because adding lots to your attack skills really does hardly anything in PvE -- they nerfed that in LU13 as people were stacking +skill bonuses to fight higher level mobs.  Now those do almost nothing at all, someone on a forum here had a parse where adding +50 skill made a 2% difference, within the margin of error.

<div></div><div></div>I was under the impression that Distruption soley affected your your ability to land a spell on a mob / player.  Thus, it seems to me that higher distruption shouldn't necessitate higher dps unless your fighting something that you wouldn't normally land all of your hits on.  Am I understanding this correctly? Also, my SK is only lvl 27, but ive played him at 26 for a long time, with mostly mastercrafted, pvp, heritage quest, and fabled gear, all master I's, but i've found him to be extremely capable in both PvE and PvP.  Granted, my lvl is far lower than most of you posting in this thread so you're probably more concerned with lvl 50+ play.  Just on a side note, today I took my 27 SK and attacked Vorn Scuttlebrow, the lvl 20 x3 zombie near the Spire in Antonica.  Solo, I got him to 60% hp before I died.  And at lvl 26, I could solo lvl 26+++ heroics (even con) w/o using tainted sacrament, HT, or hand of malice.<img src="http://eq2images.station.sony.com/000/001/112/560.JPG"><img src="http://eq2images.station.sony.com/000/001/111/192.JPG">--Champion Catastrophe27 ShadowknightNagafen<div></div><p>Message Edited by xenocide85 on <span class="date_text">07-28-2006</span> <span class="time_text">02:08 PM</span></p><p>Message Edited by xenocide85 on <span class=date_text>07-28-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:10 PM</span>

Let's get a Moderator to sticky this post... It has alot of good points. Resisst checks in pvp are so amazing ... How can you win when you can never land any spells?<div></div>

<DIV>As you level up on a PvP server yes you will feel like you are getting weaker.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There's an acknowledged issue where your spells do less damage as you level unless you can keep your INT at the same % of the cap.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, other players will be getting tougher buffs etc as they level, so you will start doing less damage against them.  If you are around the cusp of a tier, you will find players just above will have got the armour for the next tier too, and this has better stats.</DIV>
