Quick question from a pally thinking of betraying...

Yep... when I betrayed my Ranger to Assassin, it was similar to a reforming stone after talking to the class trainer. It is a good idea to turn off all buffs before you speak to the trainer as both myself and a friend's stances etc were left on and unable to cancel with them not on the maintained spell list anymore. Easy to fix by camping to character select and back in if you forget to do so however.Back to topic... you'll be able to pick all of your racial traits, master II's, character traits etc all over again. Just keep in mind though that if you are 50+ you will have no T6/T7 spells as they are not auto-granted when you ding... so have a spell list handy to know what spells you are missing etc.<div></div>

and allow at least an hour, doing the choices, checking spell lists on Broker/Fence, playing with hotbars ....I did notice too, that especially ancient teaching scrolls may not be for sale on broker OR fence, so you need to have a spell list (sticky in this forum is good) open in front of you (unless you are an alchemist of course<span>:smileyvery-happy:</span>)<div></div>

<P>mmm, the dark side, like a brown m&m, ready to strike.</P> <P>anyways, i'm a soloist myself, i can handle just about anything these days in mt mastercrafted gear with a couple of minor variances thrown in, but i can solo green ^^^, i can solo some epic greys, can solo yellows just about any non heroic and have a 50/50 with yellow ^ guys, but otherwise, i can march all over a yellow with my life taps on, but a solo multiencounter is supreme, pull like 4 yellow down arrows and use my multi life tap and my aoe attacks and my pet, and the tap vein spell which i can be allmost red and cast on a group of 4 and it's heal me almost half way up(670dmg each, and 399 heal each, once a minute, it's a thing of beauty.)</P>

<div><blockquote><hr>treebouncer wrote:<div>hate to be a bringer of bad news, but as far as soloing is concerned, sk's are a lot like pallies, we wear down our oponent solo. we really shine in groups in multi mob pulls when we arent tanking.</div><hr></blockquote>Well my pally plays along side my good bud, who is a same level same equiped SK (same equip because we both were running all most all app4s that he made and armor/weaps that i made) and his DPS was way better then mine.  I thought it was because i wan tanking while he was running offence but even when we swiched and he was tanking an i was offence he still stayed at my DPS mark and sometimes got a bit above me.Granted, it was much easier for me to tank in bigger groups then it is for him with the hate buff and the heals but it since we ussually just duo its not that big a deal to me to become an SK.  I will miss having staking buff from each of us (having both auto attack procs hit at once was good times hehe) was nice.  But being all holy and virtuous and what not gets a bit old when i could be evil and have cool spell effects hehe.Anywho, still doing the faction grinding so im not an SK just yet...PS Bounty kills for faction are perhaps the most annoying thing ever.  Get quest in antonica, runall the way to the commons, kill 1 triggered spawn, run all the way back to antonica.  T_TI noticed there is a sabatage quest that gives 5k faction but the instances for them are heavy with white/yellow groups of ^^'s.  Is there a way to get a solo instance of those or are they geared towards groups only?</div>

I was a paladin up untill some weeks ago. I recently betrayed to get more Freeport quests. I have all my SK at apprentice 2 and 3 adepts. My pally was all adept3 and a few masters. My DPS with SK at app2 is about 20% higher then with my pally at adept3/master. The DPS makes fights much faster and as such soloing is for me easier with the SK
