<DIV>Now I do understand that Mark of Awakening Instinct is Fighter/Scouts and the Mark of Awakening Intellect is Mages/Priests.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That being said was the quest reward even planned out?  Seems like this is perfect for ever class except the Sk (I have no clue about pally's but I could care less about em' <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is a lvl 70 item, essentially endgame.  To me endgame is essentially raiding.  MoA Instinct is great for Zerkers/Gurads/Scouts, but how about a Sk?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lets go over the AA line I went down to help my DPS during a raid.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Maxxed out INT (Isn't this on the MoA Intellect?)</DIV> <DIV>Maxxed out Magic Dam Criticals (I can't seem to recall is this is on the MoA Intellect... oh wait YES IT IS)</DIV> <DIV>Heal Critcals (Yup... MoA Intellect)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sta + Wis; Sure helps when I get hit by an AoE.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is it me or does the MoA intellect seem like a PERFECT item for a SK that wants to DPS?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For those that are unaware of the stats (from memory)</DIV> <DIV>+15 STA +25 WIS +25 INT</DIV> <DIV>+2% Magic Damage Critcal</DIV> <DIV>+2% Heal Critcal</DIV> <DIV>+In combat Power Regen</DIV> <DIV>Req: LvL 70</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now this is not to say the MoA Instinct is not a bad item it is ALRIGHT, but I believe that the MoA Intellect would be much better suited for a Shadowknight, what does everyone else think?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Why couldn't it just let me pick the one I wanted?</DIV>

<P>While you are correct in stating that the mark of intellect is "perfect" for a DPS SK, your forgetting that going down that DPS route is a choice, and even if you do you will never be near the DPS of a tier 1 or 2 dps.</P> <P> </P> <P>With that said, SKs are fighters....tanks. That piece (wis, str, stam) is designed to do just that, make us better tanks. If you want to go the DPS route get a second necklace that add int. I have 2 full set off gear, one for int, one fore tanking. (I am not "rich" by any means) I didnt not buy any, only have 4 gold to myname, and acquired it all in dungeons and small raids. There are plenty of neckpieces that add 20+ int. Get one off them.</P> <P> </P> <P>The real question is this. Do you want focus your quests and time on getting gear to be a sub rate DPS, or an awesome tank. If you need more int on you neck that bad go do the claymore line. Theres a necklace in the PoA part that has 30str, 30sta, 30agi, 30wis, 30int and +7 defense</P>

<P>Not to get off track, but I like the power regen and the glowy thing <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>I see what you are saying, but it would have been nice if they just gave us a choice on the quest reward.</P>

It would have been nice if we had a choice. For most classes, it's an easy decision which one to choose.  For bards and crusaders, it's not so easy.<div></div>

I know that my choice would have been the same honestly, as I like the stats for tanking, but I know there are others out there that could use the latter for DPSing. It comes along with the terf of playing a hybrid class though. =D
