<DIV>I recently came over from a paladin. I am level 54, and i've been tanking, and soloing with him, and I just can not understand why people over and over say that the shadowknight does bad dps?! I mean i was grouped with a lvl 53 wizard last night, and we were rocking!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I must have given the amount of dps that a brigand or swashbuckler would do! As last I would like to say that if you guys think the shadowknight's dps is bad. Check out a paladin you WILL not be thankful for the change.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>    Level 54 Feir'Dal Shadowknight with 300str and 250 int</DIV>

<P>Because some people...just...don't...get it!  /shrug</P> <P>Being grouped with a wizard can help, that's for certain.  INT and STR buff not to mention melee buffs?  Very nice.</P><p>Message Edited by Lord Montague on <span class=date_text>06-16-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:51 AM</span>

<DIV>Dude you've been playing an SK for a day.  If you think a raid would rather take a SK over a Brig, you are out of your mind.  SKs hardly have a function in a raid, we arent suited better than any other class for any raid situation.  In groups we are great, except that we have trouble holding agro, play a little longer and u'll see.</DIV>

<DIV>Grudge145 might be a lil overboard but does have a point. The OPs statements are a lil bold considering hes played the class for less then a day, did not earn the right to be a SK (imo ofcourse<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> yet basically came into our forums and said to stop whining theres nothing wrong with us. While Ill be first to not only admit, but also champion the fact that SKs are not in as bad shape as people want to beleive. As have said in other post before; I trully believe we are VERY solid, and just need some tinkering.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>"I must have given the amount of dps that a brigand or swashbuckler would do"  pleeeeeeeeease  Yeah maybe if he crited on a HT <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  We have nowhere near the sustainable DPS of a scout, nor should we. Take our survivalbility and throw in scout DPS... would be a tad bit unbalanced hehe.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>While I took the post a lil different and just figured this guy is happy to not be playing a pansy anymore, I can see where Grudge got a lil insulted. But I dont blame OP, I blame SOE for such a ridiculous descision as allowing betrayal at any lvl.  </DIV>

I have commented on many threads upon this very issue. If you don't see us having a relevant purpose at a raid, then talk to your raid leader again. I do not have the gear that a lot of you may have and I STILL tank raids. It's all about raid set up. If you want to play a DPS SK, you very well can. We are not going to be able to sustain the constant DPS of say an assassin, but I don't expect us to. It's all situational. I can usually wind up between 3-6 consistantly on the DPS parse when I don't tank. As far as hate being an issue, sry bud but I don't have an issue with hate.</P> <P>To the OP, don't judge the class after only one day of game play. As you have a toon to that lvl, you should know that there are many situations that you have yet to come across. I'm glad you're enjoying your SK, but please don't come here telling ppl not to complain after only playing the class for one day. You will start more trouble on these boards than it is worth. Give it a little time and play through some of the tougher content at your teir and then come here. This way you'll at least be considered to have a viable argument =D. Enjoy you new SK though, they are a blast.</P>
