<P> Well if your coming from a WoW priest then your used to slow kills. Unless you were a Shadow Priest for the grind before swapping to Holy for raiding. Either way classes in EQ2 are a bit more specialized then WoW. There is no Shadow Spec SK that will kill insanely fast. Yes sorry no face melting to speak of. However you will find that as you lvl (Especially 30+) you can indeed kill things at a decent rate. If you really want quick solo kills then a Bruiser is the way to go. However if you want a solid Soloer and somebody that can play MT really well in dungeons and end game then go the Sk route.</P> <P> I have an SK and a Bruiser personally. My SK duos with my wife's Fury and we make groups and clean out entire dungeons in good order. My Bruiser, I love to death but speaking from experience he is not an awesome MT. Avoidance is a bit to, random, with runs of good and back luck. However he solos very well and is good for when the wife can't play. (Shoe shopping...only EQ2 keeps me sane from the bills.) The SK doesnt kill as quickly, but he can certainly take on groups of mobs better and our lifetaps are nothing to snear at. There is also the fun and utility of the SK class, can't tell you how many times FD has saved an over zealous mage or scout. Plus Evac is a very nice skill. Whether used for escaping a dungeon or just getting to the front door faster.</P> <P>In the end it's all about fun though and playstyle. If you loved grouping as a Priest then take the SK route, if you always wished you were a Hunter soloing your whole life then Bruiser might be a better fit. Or do what I do and lvl both! Muahahaha....</P>

<DIV>Can only speak from my personal experience....  I have a 51 SK thats my main character (other then my 31 swashy, no other character kept me attention long enuff to hit lvl 15.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yes SKs are lil on the slow side when comes to killing, but we able to stay in there while doing it. That doesnt change much from what Ive seen; the point is though we are capable of doing it. So what if that conjy can wipe out a big baddy lil faster then us... lets see him pull off same thing against a group of baddies.Whether its a single mob or group of mobs.. we shine <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ive soloed all way to 51; only grouping when my guild makes me or working on a hard HQ. Whether solo or in a group Ive found the SK to be very solid and capable.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Solo-  I constantly do things that make people take a double look. Cant tell ya how many times my guildchat is full of "no there is noway you can do that at your lvl.." only to be followed shortly afterwards by "grats!" when the message goes across Ive killed/looted/finished such and such. Best part is, when other tanks moaning for hours in chat of LFG... I dont have to, I just run off and happily amuse myself (ok my skelly helps once in awhile...)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Grouped- Ive had zero problems doing my job as a MT (I know this is different in raid situations.. talking my experience in normal groups and HQ groups.) Ive yet to be in a group thats made any comments about needing a real tank or upset theyve had to "settle" with a gmpy SK; quite the opposite, the complaints come when I decide its time go my own way.  Not to mention the giggles Ive gotten few times when something (or someone /peer overzealous warlock) goes horribly wrong and the cowards.. errrr other groupmates decide its time to run for it.. being the crusader I am, I stay behind to make the sacrafice so they can live... only to have them come back to find all the mobs dead at my battered feet. I also loved the time was in a group and wasnt MT, I went into DPS mode and ended up getting yelled at by the guardian two lvls higher cause he couldnt keep agro off me. Ya got to admit its funny hearing "hey SK drop out freaking offensive stance so I can keep em on me." Take that scouts <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Opps Im rambling. Short version is... give it some time and you'll find there is NO better class to be. Even with issues we got, we are both solid and extremely enjoyable to play. I couldnt imagine having any other class as my main.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>PS----- Devs just cause Ive stated fact we are solid and fun... doesnt mean its ok ignore the issues we have. Comeon.. ya almost there.. ya can fix us... wouldnt take much....
