<DIV>Hey guys,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am returning to the game after a looong time away (Last I played, max level was 50).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am going to play with a friend, who is rolling a Warden, and I will be rolling a SK, darkelf most likely, cause I like the race (My old char was a wood-elf troubador).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am hoping you guys might be kind enough to throw me a few pointers in terms of building my char. I plan to go the DPS route and duo most the time with my mate. What I am mainly looking for is the following:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>- Tips on how to spend my AA?</DIV> <DIV>- Tips on gear to aim for (Quest rewards or other)?</DIV> <DIV>- Levelling guides or tips to areas to duo in?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If anyone has information to share on these subjects, or just wanna write a little about how SK is to play in general, please feel free to add your thoughts. If you happend to play on Runnyeye, and don't mind getting a question or two, please drop your name here as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kind regards,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Tristam, 0 SK, Runnyeye</DIV> <DIV>Ramac, 50 Troubador, Runnyeye</DIV>
<P>For AA's it is a personal choice and depends on what you want to do end game.</P> <P>I am just putting all my points in Magic Crit and similar items to max out my dps. But keep in mind you can respec for 1s the first time.</P> <P>As for Gear... get Cobalt armor. Player crafted stuff is quite nice especially the rings, ie. pearl ring, or the acrylia or moonstone items of T7.</P> <P>To lvl, Do raptors in SS then move to The Cleft of Rujark.</P> <P>Then onto the Cyclops and giants. You can do these until your 60. Then off to TT and do SoS.</P> <P>Finally onto the Nest, PoA, Den, HoF.</P> <P>As you level up in the T7 zone you should be getting drops to replace your current stuff, or if you can't wait the broker should have them listed.</P>

<DIV>If you havent rolled your Sk yet then roll a paladin in Qeynos and betray - its super fun and you get to spy on the enemy, plus you can go back and kill guards for not protecting you better</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>here are my tips</DIV> <DIV>1. keep your tradeskill high enough so you can afford playermade legendary gear and adept iii's</DIV> <DIV>2. There arent a lot of options for efficient leveling, im not going to tell you where to go but try to find large mobs in large groups </DIV> <DIV>3. Dont rush through levels in the wrong way:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>No Tradeskill = Treasured = Green Mobs = all grind</DIV> <DIV>vs.</DIV> <DIV>Tradeskill = Legendary = Heroic ^^^ = level fast</DIV>

<DIV>I'm still Level 8 in Tradeskills. I had 30p banked and full Xegonite / Acrylia at 63. You're a dirty liar.</DIV>

I kinda agree with Jebaris except it doesn't necessarily have to be tradeskilling. My advice is to make sure you have the money required to get your toon the best gear and ADIII spell level for each tier. If that means tradeskilling then fine, but that could mean harvesting for rares or farming master chests. Whatever you heart contents in order to make cash.

Heh, I had no problems with money until 50. I always had a plat rolling around... I spent the next couple of days building up my Carpentry, making furniture, and once I hit my 30s been making a steady stream since then... I'm at 39 for tradeskill, and having a blast just rolling out some rugs for extra cash. I'm not greedy, I just like to have enough to buy that adept 1 when it rolls around. I have a bigger apartment now, and it's decorated with all stuff made by myself. That's a good time! Sure, it's kinda tacky in decorating... I'm not an interior decorator. I had to buy a bigger place, because furniture sells well, but it's a crap shoot to figure out what sells and what doesn't. That, and I can picture my evil SK having a ball rolling out some furniture for the masses allowing him to relax after a day of pure evil... That and I seem to make status points quite naturally doing those rinky dink tradesfolk quests... Good times!<div></div>
