Hello to all.I am thinking about giving the SK a shot as evil can be a good thing <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Here are my questions: 1. I have quite few friends in Qeynos that I will try to play with them as a SK. Will all the NPCs in Antonica be hostile toward me? Will I be able to do any Antonica Quests? Will the mailboxes by the Antonican Griffin tower allow me to get mail?2. I know, I know the race does not matter but I know for a fact that some races are (slightly or even just slightly) better than others. Do any of the Freeport races have any distinct advantages for a SK. (I am thinking Dark Elf,….ya I know very original…a little afraid of low STR but nice INT)3. Are there any sites that are recommended reading for a young SK? I have read through 5 pages of this forum but I still feel that I can learn more.I thank you for your time.
Heya, First off, welcome to the evilest bunch of buggers in the game. 1) Yes, if you so choose to group with, and befriend qeynosian's, You will be able to do quests from antonica, and there will not be any npc's in antonica that are hostile to you, besides the ones that are hostile to everyone. And, when grouping with the Q's,do try and constantly berate them, just to show them how inferior they are to you.2) Yeah, you said it, race really does not matter end-game. Choose what you like. Some of the more intelligent races, such as dark elf, may get racial bonuses to certain stats, such as intelligence, that you may like, but it all pans out to not make that huge of a deal. I would choose Troll, because they are the best. Just look at them.3) Personally, i have not found any sights besides these here forums that have vast stockpiles of SK reading. If you find one, let me know.Good luck to you on your dark path, and enjoy it. Its very good being bad.Dagon Shoggoth67 Shadowknight of Unrest<div></div>

<DIV>Even the racial traits and trainings are quite similar. No matter which race you choose, you won't notice much difference, even at the low end. Just choose whatever race seems appropriate, and go with it. And yes, you will be able to hang with your filthy Qeynosian friends.. Just don't do it around me. Some of us have some sense of self-respect.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Overlord must have lowered the bar. There was a time when fraternizing with Antonican scum would get you chained to an oar.</DIV>

1) as said above your fine for antonica, although the mender might tell you your not welcome, he still mends your stuff. one big thing to be careful of, is guards and sentries. they will all attack and kill you, and most are level 25, so they can kill you pretty quickly.2) depends how you want to play your SK, if your going to focus mainly on tanking, then the bigger more obvious choices will give you immediate advantages for having the right starts, such as Ogres, Trolls and Barbarians. personally im a high elf, so jsut go with something your happy with if you tend to be picky about what race you play.<div></div>
<DIV>I have a Dark Elf SK and have no problems, you are right that our STR is lower than for some classes, however with higher INT you get less problems with spells.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One thing I would say is pick your updates (the green plus thingy) with care; not picking any WIS or INT things, I stuck to STR</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I often play with a guardian of the same level, he has slightly more HP but I have more power so he will tank and I do more DPS using a 2 handed axe.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Enjoy the class it is really cool and as already said by the time you are lvl50+ the armour and other stuff will outway any class attributes</DIV>

<P>Agree with previous poster, pick the race you like for the look/feel vs stats really. Yes if you go with DE/Gnomes/Rats etc your lower levels might be a bit tougher but towards the upper 40's gear will make much larger difference vs race (only exception I can think of is the racial benifit of humans and I think babarians of a 3 min defensive buff, but thats not a huge difference maker).</P> <P>Shadow Knights have to worry about all 5 stats really so it all evens out a bit, your squishy races (JK) will have less strength and stamania maybe but they may have better int/wisdom or agility.</P> <P>Enjoy.</P>
