I just noticed that wisdom actually raises all resist. Am I the only one that has noticed on raids where a certin mob will have a very strong nuke, nobody will use wis buffs? It seems like it would be the only thing to help when people are low on resist.

i think resists only go up by 3 points per point of wisdom, while it helps increase saves, it can't be relied uppon

I guess im to much into resist lol. I know they max at 6000 and only absorb 80% of the dmg. When I equip for resist i usually resist em all and just keep healed off my ward. I just love resist to much lol.

I think your question isn't that dumb and as Wisdom also is the secondary stat that affects SK powerpool it is worth considering. What role of importance it plays in high end raids I got no idea but I would guess it does "mitigate" spell damage under more normal conditions.

As a side note I get nostalgic speaking of resist - anyone played Ultima Online??
IN UO there was a skill called resist spells which was a very good one to work on and it could only be raised through exposing yourself to hostile spells. Furthermore, you didnt have saves on gears (when I played) so this was the only way to survive bad caster mobs. I wouldn't mind copying that approach to EQ2 and maybe limit it to fighter classes.

Message Edited by nagelfare on 05-19-2006 12:46 PM
