<DIV>I personally don't think the idea of critical taunts is bad, but I also don't think it would be a fix for us either. I don't think relying on any random chance for agro is either constant or dependable. A good example is the caress line. 2%....1 in 50 to get hate gain off of a hit. To be dead honest I don't even consider the Caress line when including hate generation. If it procs, sweet, good for me. But I absolutely wouldn't put my friends assess on the line for a 1 in 50. I just use a little more power throughout the fight until this one gets fixed. I never count on random things to get constant results.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The second issue is if you do that, your basically deciding what path the majority of SK's would take for AA, or punish them for not taking it. I do get a fair amount of crits without AA but I still would not like to think that if I want to be a magnificent tank, or not spend all my power doing so, I have to pick an AA line to do it. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The majority of the times to be dreadfully honest, I don't even notice an aggro problem, in fact, the only time I lose it, it when there's a [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] spam pushing every button he he has. I think there was another post about this somewhere too that basically quoted group control. It is part of the game and is part of hate control as well. In a group, it's everyone's responsibility to control aggro, not just the poor power drained tank. Don't get me wrong, there are times when too much gets pulled and there's nothing you can do about it. The healer has to spam heal gets aggro you use your rescue but maybe it's too late. Once again, group skill comes into play as well.<EM> </EM>Raid tanking is another story, not a raid tanker myself since I just got back into a guild and got back into the game after 8 months, but so far I have read a few positive and negative posts concerning it and I'm sure someone will speak up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Overall, I actually like the idea of a critical taunt, just not to fix our issues.</DIV>

You do realize Caress is a 2% chance only to summon a Tainted Essence?  Its a 100% chance when struck with melee to inflict the damage and generate hate, and over time, it really does add up.  Critted taunts would be a good idea, bu I agree that having it requre the INT AA line to be taken is not good.<div></div>

<P>I dunno, I think pretty much the int line is manditory for an SK.  You'll get way more hate with the 68% spell crit chance then the 11% hate increase from the strength line.</P> <P>Because of the weakness of our hate, we have to make up for it in DPS.  That's our way of holding agro.</P>

<P>Its not just a fact that if they make taunts crit it would benefit sk the most, BUT it should be that way anyway. If 1 poitn of hate = 1 point of damage. and class hate is balanced w/o crits. When dps classes obtain crits the class balance goes out of wack. Taunts should be able to crit. Not just for Sk's but for all tanks. Who will have at least soem benefit from spell crits. Although obviously crusaders would be at a distinct advantage. </P> <P>another idea Sk's should get is a mitigation Tap. Which transfer a small amount of mitigation from an npc to the Sk or his group. This has a double benefit. One it increases the sk mitgation and thus tanking and 2 it lower the npcs defense and alllows people to do more DPS. (yes i know mobs no longer have mitigation, but miti debuffs still work on NPC's to increase damage)</P>

<P>Wonder if they will put taunt crit as a future AA.I didnt like the kos AA's at 1st but for the most part i think the concept was kinda cool.However i also think IT was a easy way out where Devs didnt have to address the direction of classes and just said "here" you do it:p Although in a way cant blame in cuz alot of communities dont come together on issues like they should:p</P> <P>Too many E-penur strokers out there:p</P>
