I am new to the game and was planning on making a SK. I was wondering if they are they a casual friendly class (solo) and need help on picking what race, from reading a little bit I see something about racials diffs and would like to know what they might be. (was reading something about racial abilitys you can train every so many levels and if there is some can someone give me a site or list them?)

Thanks

Message Edited by craftdude2 on 05-07-2006 04:38 AM

I have a gnome sk, and I love it. In fact, it gets really nice about the time you get your pet.

SKs are an excellent solo class due to being able to both sustain a fair amount of dps while still taking hits. The downside is that we're a bit of a tweener when it comes to fitting more specialized roles (MT or DPS in groups or raids). Solo play is definitely one of the class's strong points, though.

btw if anybody tells you you cant MT in a group, dont listen to them, I am a 60sk and 40 sk, (PVE and PVP servers) and I MT all the time, in fact I only off-tank 5% of the time I group, do yourself a favor and keep your taunts at adept 1-master quality, I would recommend adept 3. and just make sure to keep an eye on things.

admittingly we are not the best tanks for aggro, but we do just fine (raids may be a different story)
