View Full Version : What levels do you get best armor/weapon
<DIV>Hi all,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have a new SK-level 9. Have played only a Necro besides this new toon.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My question on a fighter class is at what levels do you really invest the time and money to get the best armor/weapons.</DIV> <DIV>I know the 10-20 goes pretty fast, at least for my Necro it did.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm sitting at level 9 with basic dropped gear and am trying to determine if at Tier 2 I should get my crafting up and make some money to buy the best gear available or is it a waste of money since those levels go by pretty fast.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know you should get new armor each tier-but at what tier did most of you go for the legendary stuff?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Checked the forums and it mentioned getting the best you can-but don't want to waste money that could be spent on Adept3's if armor isn't really necessary till a higher level.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sorry if this question seems stupid-just looking for a bit of advice</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>cheers,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Jerril</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>If you're short on cash, do the newbie quests that take you through the Sprawl, Graveyard, Sunken City and Ruins. Hunt for dropped gear and then do the armor quests at level 20-24. After that, I got common-crafted armor (feyiron) for the 30's and common-crafted armor (fulginate) through the 40's. If you can find the rares and an armorer to make them for you at a decent price, the rare crafted is great to have, but a lot of us made it without it. I did not get my first set of rare imbued armor until I hit 50. </P> <P> </P> <P>Good luck!</P>

<P><FONT size=2>Axxon pretty much said it all....the newbie quested armor is a great start and will last you. At 20, definitely do the armor quests as it has good stats and looks pretty cool. If you can manage a couple steel clusters, get imbued plate chest/legs and that should last you until your 30's...the rest of your slots can be filled up with common crafted. Imbued ebon chest/legs are nice at 40...</FONT></P> <P><FONT size=2>Most definitely....definitely....get a full set of cobalt (imbued chest/legs) at 50 along with a cobalt tablet for your ranged slot. That is the height of your armor until the T7 raid drops really. Also at level 50, you can get Vanadium jewelry and imbued rings, which I would highly suggest.</FONT></P> <P><FONT size=2>As far as spells/CAs...I wouldn't invest highly into Adept 3 / Master 1 spells until about 55-56 when you know you're not getting an upgrade for the spell/CA.</FONT></P>
<P>Thank you very much you two-exactly the response I was hoping for.</P> <P>This is how the forums should work-people helping others out-not flaming.</P> <P>Cheers,</P> <P>Jerril</P> <P> </P>

I'm level 46, and periodically I just go to the broker and look for better armor. I upgrade a piece at a time. It's funny, I was in a group the other day in PF, and I was the same level as a Pally. His whole argument for being MT was that he had better armor. I let him because I just don't care one way or another. Well after the group got wiped the second time, the group asked for me to MT. After battling for a while, and not a single CHANCE at being wiped, the Pally dropped from the group, and we went along merrily. Long of the short of it, armor doesn't matter as much as play style. I always say that slow and steady wins the race, and a good tank does their job no matter what. Work on upgrading your skills, and the armor will come. Also, join a good guild that can help you out with crafting junk for your dude. That's just the nicest thing in the world for Furbish, the 46sk NOOB. <div></div>
