Yes can succed very well if group works into attack's ( they use to Guardian MT's tho so takes time for them to adjust) Usually have to group with close frinds and guildies repeatedly , pick up groups can be rough if your not use to MT'ing all the time, Sadly most SK's arent use to it , and most are still Forced to solo , NOT MT,NOT DPS,NOT Healer= no group , no raid, go solo with Sub par skills  </P> <P>Solo ability ? i'd say Low / Mid range in the chart of solo ability , NO where near the best , certainly not at the bottom </P> <P> </P> <P>Guards want better soloability? so then really why play any other tank class , guards already do it all And can solo , give them even better solo skills and ? what a JOKE </P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

If the DEVs do decide to give guards better soloability on par with lets say an SK or zerker. I would kinda be ticked off to be honest. Not because they threw guards a bone when we SKs have been struggling with agro, but because a guard would be the main choice for those seeking to be a tank. Then I would have to put up with more criticism about how were sub par tanks. Bad enough raid guilds dont accept SKs.<div></div>

<P>It sure does suck that no raiding guilds want SKs.  After they have one SK if they have that then they take no more.  Its very frustrating!!  I like playing a SK but i sure do wish that they would just help define us a bit more.  Honestly I belive for just regular groups we are by far the best tanks in the game.  Most of the time I dont even need a healer because I can siphon so many hps out of mobs that I dont need heals.  Of course all my heal spells are adept 3 or better.  Its almost amazing how well we can keep ourselves healed.  I would really like to see a mitigation Siphon, resist siphons, Mana Siphon upgrade, and a few other siphon lines.  I also really want to see an upgrade to our tap veins spell line.  I think this spell would really help define our role in the game and raids espically if they stacked or made the siphons actually buff the entire group.</P> <P> </P> <P>v/r</P> <P>John</P>

Coming from EQ1 on raids im used to offtanking/kiting/pulling/and even picking up raid mobs when they got loose if the warriors died.Now granted there wasnt 1 job that we were "locked" into  but i came away knowing my class made a difference.(key word class).Now before some1 jumps in and says well i do such and such and its the player behind the screen.... they are absolutely right.Coming into EQ2 **class wise** on raids anyways were pretty much a buff bot* tossed into MT group for armanent and the other crusader buffs.Then to dps and debuff(key one being despoil)...... that seems pretty bland to me.I bet u could toss ur buffs on the mt then hit despoil after u engage then AF a healer and no 1 would know unless ya wiped.If you broke it down even further to what the sk class brings to a raid..... dont count the generic crusader stuff .... so how much do we bring to the table? not a whole lot.One way or another id like to see a better/more direct direction that the devs will take with the class.Although its really not my thing tanking raid mobs I feel kinda bad for those sk's who really want to its a uphill battle.<p>Message Edited by ssythe on <span class=date_text>05-04-2006</span> <span class=time_text>03:58 PM</span>

<DIV>You all talking about intervene, reminded me of what has happened to me on multiple occasions.  I normally don't use it often, as its easy to get 1 + AE round killed using it, especially if your in a non healing / buffed group.  I do however use it, as a last resort / sacrifice to let the MT last the little bit more, cause they're more important than me.  What happens is, instead of taking 1 hit, I take 3.  I've checked to see if it was a special attack & it was always a hit.  So instead of nearly dying or somewhat getting beat by 3k, I'm getting tripled for 9k & going splat.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone else having this issue other than me, or is it just a rarity, that I seem to get often?</DIV>

most of the times I've used it raid wise to try and "save" the MT when they were low on hp the mt usually avoided getting hit for whatever reason and would get healed or whatnot then they would finally get hit when they were already close to full hp.Me personally I found a good use for it is to put it on them before they pull some mobs that tend to beat their [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] before a healer can get a heal off seems to work ok and usually drops me to around 25%(like some of the trash mobs in lab).Have yet to try that out on named tho(id imagine they will be scraping me of the floor).
