Hoping to get everyone who has had SK masters drop throw in their 2cp as to where...and what. I haven't had any luck in quite a while. Last one that dropped for me was in CT off of a trash mob in the lower tunnels. Lvl 40 Unholy Blessing.

I'm particulary interested in any location that might drop the lvl 59 Insidious Promise. One more level and I will need that. I don't farm but I would have to consider spending a lot of time in any zone that is known to drop this spell. I'm still broke after all the gear and spell upgrades through T6 but would love to have this one at Master level.

Any others? We have a great spell list so pretty much any master is a valuable addition.

go get yourself the single target taunt in Splitpaw caves and you don't need the insidious promise adept3... i recently upgraded it to adept3 only to find out later that the spell you can buy from the mender in the caves scales with your char, and is better then adept3.. not sure on master tho (but i'm guessing pretty equal)... 'goading something' will cost you only 20s...

I'm not sure there is a place to find specific class masters, save for a few buggy encounters that always drop the same thing *cough* Spell Whip *Cough* Rather that there are certain zones which drop random spells for any class in a certain level range. For Insidius Promise I would suggest Poets Palace and Cazel's Mesa for small groups and COurt of Al Afaz and Gates of Akhet Aken for raids. THose zones seem to drop a decent number of 55-59 spells. As for GOading Gesture, that spell seems to resist a LOT for me...much more than Promise, plus now that the doubled the damage Promise does, it is worth it just for the power efficient damage it deals.

I have Insidious Promise at Master I, which was a nice find indeed. The amount of hate it generates is definitely better than Goading Gesture (not taking into account the double hate effect from Gesture). The basic problem with Goading Gesture is it is essentially App IV and has absolutely no upgrade to it. It takes up more power and is resisted a lot more often.

And if you need to know where the Master came from, a guildmate looted it off of one of the named in Silent City but I don't know which one since I wasn't there.

Message Edited by Lord Montague on 04-11-2006 08:09 AM

Finishing PP access now so that is good to know. I always liked that run anyway so won't hurt my feelings to do it with this character. Good to know about Silent City as well.

I used to use Goading Gesture prior to their tweaking our taunts a little while ago. I feel that our main line of single target taunts is superior now. I don't even have GG on my hotbar anymore. If you add the hate over time component plus damage from our Insidous line I concluded that an A3 or better of it is the best option we have available. To each their own I guess. If you haven't compared the two recently you may want to look again.

mikeyswizz wrote:

Got my level 70 Master 1 Despoil in Palace of the Awakening

*drools* Want! Want!As the only active Shadowknight in my guild, I get a lot of handmedowns when people find SK masters in other instances. I will never live down the time when, in 15 minutes time, our guild found Twisted Aura, Nefarious Sacrament and Grave Blessing. To this day I cannot comment about master spells without getting jibed mercilessly. That being said, that was about 3 weeks ago, and I've only seen one drop since.

Not sure how I could have forgotten this. Guess I don't consider our pet to be a "primary" spell so it doesn't get used as much unless solo vs tough content. I had Infernal Sacrament lvl 54 drop for me in Living Tombs. Normal heroic mob...not named.

Master 1 of our T7 Kick stun dropped for me off of the cell keeper named in Sanctum. Grozbaaz the Restrainer, or a name similar to that.

Level 58 siphon might Master I dropped off of some of the ^^^s on Fear Tainted isle for a guildmate.

One other master dropped off of the named just near the entrance into Den of the Devourer - I think it might have been Despoil. (Someone else found it, so not sure)

I have a number more, but I'm not sure where they came from - I get nearly every 60+ SK Master that drops on Test, as I'm the only high SK on the server.
