<div></div><div>Squiggy the Level 33 Sk Destroyer here.  Yes part of the famous duo Lenny (33 Brigand Champion) & Squiggy.</div><div> </div><div>I was hoping to get your advice on a couple topics.</div><div> </div><div>1.  How do you like the SK in PVP?  What do you think your role is and what are your biggest strengths in PVP. </div><div> </div><div>2.  How would you rate us in comparison to the other classes?</div><div> </div><div>3.  How do you do 1 on 1 fighting other classes your level</div><div> </div><div>4.  What classes do you own / What classes give you the hardest problems</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>First of all I love the SK.  It was no simply no choice for me.  I feel that the SK has the greatest tools of any class.  We are the death hybrid of EQ2.  1/3 fighter 1/3 mage 1/3 necro ; the only true hybrid in the game.  I duo 100% of the time with Lenny the 33 brigand.  Together we have 711 kills and 91 deaths so the majority of the time (WE GANK YA)!!!!!  Not to say we don't get owned from time to time.........just the majority of the time (WE GANK YA) LOL.  If you come across me chances are very good that he is hunting you........so for the most part you won't catch us off gaurd very often.    I feel it is my job to set him up for the kill.  It goes something like this ....................Group Invis - He hits them with a 2 tie up / slow spells............I fire off 1 disease over time spells if at all possible............I bash or boot to stun / knock them down...............He tears them up with precision damage..... If need be I fire off a HT just to make them think twice about ever attacking us again!!!!!!!  It has been pretty effective so far. </div><div> </div><div>Here is where the rub is for me and where I can use your help.  If I am attacking a Q close to my level chances are 1/2 way through the fight they are turning tail and running.  I personally feel that 1 vs 1 the SK is very strong.  My frustration lies when once the Q runs..........there is pretty much nothing I can do about it.  Unless i stun or boot him and get  the Q off his feet (which I have to do from close range) they simply can skip off into the sunset and go have a beer with their friends while I frantically chase them from behind.  Since I have to be standing to cast a spell and have no auto ranged attacks I usually only get one shot off and chances are that is not enough to drop them.  I don't mind HTing them to the back of the head but only use it if I have a 90% or greater chance to drop them on the spot.  I know we get a snare at 40.  Any advice on what to do to those runners in the meanwhile?  I could certainly use your advice on the matter. </div><div> </div><div>Also if you could give me advice for what master to get at 34 I would appreciate it.  Lenny and I look forward to hunting with you!!!!!!!</div>

<div></div><p>Im currently grooming my PVP death squad on Venekor.</p><p>Shadowknight</p><p>Brigand</p><p>Defiler. ... to begin with and we are just waiting for the brigand to catch up with us in levels.</p><p>I think you outlined the one real weakness Shadowknights have in your post. We dont have to much stopping power at lower levels due to the absence of snare. Personally I save Harmtouch for these very situations, fleeing Queernosians. My only advice would be to hold back on your damage abilities, and anticipate the run. As soon as they show an inkling of turning tail, time your stuns and rapid fire your damage attacks in quick succession and summon a pet after stun. If you have power click the sprint to chase them down and auto attack the little remaining life they have if any. Save harmtouch for these situations also we really dont need it to destroy our opponents but its the perfect solution for cowards.</p><p>Now to your specific questions.</p><p>1. Love it, Shadowknight is the only class i play. I wish we hadnt got so many of our awesome pvp abilities taken from us in the transition from eq1 to eq2 (Shadowstep, invis, lich controlable pet) but in reality those abilities would likely make us far overpowered.</p><p>We are a tank plain and simple. In a group you should be protecting your team mates and taking the brunt of the damage, You should be calling the shots identifying targets such as healers and high damage classes and taking them out FAST. You team mates should be with you atatcking the same targets in unison. Solo 1 on 1 fights we are gods. Our true pvp strength is in our versatilty and general hardiness.</p><p>2. Top tier.</p><p>3.  Havent met a class yet Ive had any major problems with, the exception may be necromancer, bruiser but considering they are on the same side.....Though I have been killed by a few wizards how got a goot root on me and where smart enough to stay away from my harm touch. Furies can be annoying as well. ....</p><p>4. All scouts hit the ground hard. (or run away) mages die horribly as long as I get the jump on them. Some healers can be a pain because they take forever to kill, same goes with Paladins. generally though I fear no class.</p><p>Id go for the harmtouch master at 34</p>
