STR or STA AA's for best mele damage?

<div>The Str line gives you a haste and the Sta line gives you mele crits.  What line do you think will give the most mele damage as a general rule.  I think it is irrelevant how much Str you have, because the damage goes up and down for both lines as your str does.</div>

<div></div><p>You would need to know what percentage of your dps came from autoattack, melee CAs, and spells.</p><p>For instance of this was 20%, 40%, and 40%...for simplicity let's say you are doing 100 dps.</p><p>Max strength would give you roughly 40% more autoattack damage 20x1.4=28, You got 108 dps now or 8% gain.</p><p>Crits are 30% more dmg so if you had the 22% crit bonus you would increase the damage on autoattack and melee CAs by 6.6%. 60x106.6%=63.96. You now do 103.96 dps, 3.96% gain</p><p>If you went int line and totally wasted the required symbol CA and just got the increase spell damage crits to 100% You would do 30% more spell damage always. 40x130%=52 You now do 112 dps, or 12% gain.</p><p>This is all sample hypothetical math, how your actual portions of autoattack, melee CAs, and spells vary may vastly change the end results. I know personally sometimes I am conserving power and only taunting, so my autoattack portion shifts up and my ca/spell damage slips down. Because of that I am going the haste route, since the spellcrit route isn't really that much more</p>
