Just wondering... been reading the boards a bit... up to level 10 on my sk, just started last week. But it's been hard finding any detailed guides from where I've been looking anyways, at least that are up to date since the changing of how subclasses work.Just curious about soloing strategies, and selection of traits and such.. (I chose str at level 8, thinking the defense tradition at level 10? not sure what choices I get after that).Basically looking for tips and things to keep an eye out for as I'm levelling up, where my focus of stats should be and so on.<div></div>

<div>I dont think theres any guides out yet, its a pretty sweeping change and its very awkward to comment as a higher level character since we grew up completly differently.</div><div> </div><div>What i will say from experiance is however that strength isnt very important now IMHO</div><div>For soloing / damage and the like i would say go with int since so many of our combat arts are spells. Stamina is always handy and is very important if your tanking, agi also helps. Thankfully we get a lot of int and wis off our offensive and defensive stances comparativly.</div><div> </div><div> </div>

<div>I thought by going ogre it would be an advantage as a knight.</div><div>But now i read that we need int to do damage?! what is this, some kind of caster class for high elves?</div><div> </div><div>Really dissapointed in how the it comes together, this is a tanker, a warrior, but to do damage we need alot of int [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]!</div>

<div>I chose a troll. I am in a high end raiding guild and I switch constantly from tanking to damage dealing. It depends on the gear you are wearing. I have 6 sets of armor. When we are raiding a mob that I have no chance at tanking then I stand back and cast. In offensive stance and all my int gear I have hit the cap. </div><div> </div><div>To sum it up, its not as bad as you say. Just play the race you want. It really doesnt matter after about lvl 20</div>

Also when soloing.. do you feel defensive or offensive stance is better? I'm still undecided at this point.and when the term 'power' comes up... if I talk to people on the newbie island, they say both str and int affect power. Is that just referring to a mana pool, or is power a damage term in this game?My experiences so far seem to lend towards just spamming HO chains when soloing for the most effective way to kill things. As far as how int deals damage - it affects all the combat arts that are doing disease damage? or are the melee type attacks(like the cleave and the one that has the sword icon - sorry, at school atm so I can't check the actual spell name) based off str, and then the ranged spells are int based?Trying my best to find answers, but whenever I find information I have no idea what's current or not :/<div></div>

<div>Power is the new term for mana. With Shadowknights (and those accursed paladins) our power (mana) comes from both our strength and wisdom (something like 75%/25%). Strength also determines how hard you hit with melee (also increases carrying capacity). Stamina boosts our hitpoints. Agility helps us to avoid hits. Intelligence helps us to increase magic damage. Wisdom helps us to resists spell damage from mobs.</div><div> </div><div>With defensive and offensive stance, I personally use both in diiferent circumstances. If I am using 1h* (blunt or slash (are some pierces but not many)) and shield defensive is a good way to out last a hardish mob. If i am facing easy mobs I use 2h* and go offensive.</div>
