I have heard that SK is a weak class, that Paladin is MUCH better and it is a waste to do SK. Is this truth or not? Did the LU20 buff SK. I'm looking for more of a PvP analysis..because I'm considering making one. Thanks!

<div>i think were in the same boat as the Pally's in the ercent LU, we both got are running cast shot down. As for PVP, havent really dueled much, but i can tell you i have beaten a few pallies, and we have mroe dps then they do.</div>

<div></div><p>All i've ever heard paladins be good at is whining, so if you're a good whiner then make a paladin. As for the rest, well PvP is 90% skill 10% class abilities, so if you suck at PvP it won't matter what class you roll up. SK's have better DPS then Paladins, but Paladins have better heals. So consider that when thinking about what kind of PvP style you gravitate towards.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>

<div></div><p>it really depends on what you are going to do with it. i rolled a pally and a sk and played them both to 20. i have decided to keep the pally cause i duo it with my wifes lock. the reason is cause the pallys get better heals and such. the sk gets wicked taps even at those low levels. if you plan on mostly solo'ing, you should really make a SK, they seem to be a bit better at it.</p><p> </p><p>from reading these forums at higher levels the SK's taunts are weak, and in my experience at higher levels palladins do seem to be able to control aggro in a group situation better, but again, i havent played either class past 20, so, i cant say for sure. what i can say, is what you do when you play the game will have a impact on what you choose, in small group situation with no healers a pally may be better at holding aggro and keeping himself alive...yet, the SK can kill things faster, and by himself will prolly be a better solo player than a pally. what i can say is, i feel like a wuss playing a palladin and i feel like i am like every one pally in the game...when i played my sk i felt like a rogue and a real bad [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]...either way, SK's are the underdog and seem to be the red headed stepchild of the devs, they are quite playable even though in my opinion their dps and taunts at higher lvls is REALLY gimped....they have a coolness factor that a pally just cant quite match <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<div></div><div></div><p>My guilds main raid tanks are paladins or zerkers, SKs are never considered for the role.</p><p>Paladins have far better aggro generation tools, can heal and have a great combat res. </p><p>SKs do ok in exp groups.........At this point i dont know if its worth levelling my SK past 60 or just stay with my 60 healer who is actually usefull on raids...</p><p>Sony have given up on SKs, just waiting for the class to be deleted and be offered a re-roll <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>Message Edited by Quaan on <span class="date_text">02-22-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:38 AM</span></p>

<div></div>Here are what comes to my mind when comparing SK over Paladin:-SK has his own pet generation spell, what can be handy dmg wise-SK has DoT spells-SK has debuff spells-SK can leach life-In PvE sk has feign death what can life one's life in awkward situation <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />-SK has runic touch, an insta dmg spell usable every 15 min with dmg of over 2k, which is hard to resist-In duels I'm been told that paladin can have very hard time to defeat SK. <div>Gear helps in PVP. Items that proc a stun are very helpful in fighting pallys, which I think is funny, since eq1 was all about stuns FOR the pally.</div>
