<div></div>I just made shadowknight, and I m a troll. I must say I am suprised as to how well it plays. It seems the more jump in and and hammer all your specials you do, the better things go. I tend to be out of power fast, but the fight dont seem to last that long. Groups love me, and solo I seems to do about as well as any other class, or better. The most fun I have is to jump into the middle of 2-3 blues and use my AOE spin attack, and my AOE divine damage spell. Then a few HO, and back to the AOE as soon as they are up. I was looking over the spells we get, so I am here to ask a fast question; When I am solo a bit, 50% or so of the time, doing writs, or little quests, or harvesting or just plain old relaxing, in the upper levels, will I be able to take multi mobs easy? For example, if I im in Fallen gate, where they are heroics and come in 2-3 at a time (writ quests), and I wait till they are green, can I take the solo? or sould I just plan on getting into a bigger guild and grouping all the time? The guild I have now is really small and only get together on the weekends mostly. I can see we get 3? different AOE spells on different timers. SO, I was planning on using my shield, D. Stance, and just cast away. Will it work? P.S. I am also a crafter, so I WILL be in Pristine Player made armor at all times =).. Imbued when I can get there. *woot* Thank you. <DIV>with moderate equipment im doing high green heroics still, takes quite a bit of time due the scaling of hps but not all that difficult, its not as easy as it was, but with patience good target selection etc its doable.</DIV>

I actually think SKs excel at multi-mob encounters - I certainly prefer them to single-mob ones anyway. With our group debuffs, pet, damage shield, reactive lifetap, AE dots, and at 55, the AE lifetap, by the time you're done with the first mob, the rest are already in a world of hurt, and it doesn't take long to finish them off. <div></div>

<DIV>at lvl51-53 I could solo lvl40-43 green herioc mobs, and sometimes get some pretty nice drops as well</DIV>

When do you think a real SK comes into power? *ponder* wonder if we can take out groups as fast as a summoner? Namtub Troll Shadow Knight</span><div></div>

Best multimob encounter combo--- SK/warlock. I duo with this combo and it's pretty impressive.

<DIV>At level 60 I am about to solo 56 ^^ heroics. The hardest I am able to solo is Warclaw in SC. VERY tough fight. Of all fighter classes we are the best for soloing groups and I have yet to see a fighter that could come close to killing warclaw + all of his adds by themselves. Tap Veins is the most valuable spell for us soloing groups. If you can time it right you can complete heal yourself when you are in the red.. this is usually vital to winning the fight. To take him down you must spam your death march, aoe's, single target lifetaps, heinous blessing, everytime they are up. By the way he can be killed without harm touch but its a close fight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Yep, agreed that the SK is an excellent solo class. As you level up (am 58 now) you get more and more lifetaps and procs that have a liftetap effect. You can let your life get down to half, and then easily fill it back up again with a bit of lifetap spamming. Rather than wait for my life to regenerate between fights, I often start fights with low life because I know I will be able to tap it back up. Same thing goes for duels, we own. Dueled a 60 guardian the other day (me at 5<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and I beat him with FULL LIFE. Interestingly the hardest duel I have fought was against a 59 Paladin who used his shield and kept stunning me over and over. He almost took me out. Anyway, I'm loving my SK right now. I am an old player and I was actually away from the game for 6 or more months. I just got back recently. Before I left I really disliked my SK, we had one crappy lifetap, and were hard pressed to break 70 dps going full offensive. SKs were basically a useless class. Great improvements have been made while I was gone and I am glad I came back to eq2 to experience the new and improved SK. <div></div>

The way SKs turn an enemy's life into their own dps through lifetaps is the key. Pallys might be able to outright heal themselves more, but the dps is limited by the fact that none of those heals result in higher dps. I havn't played a high lvl pally so I can't say for sure, but I have dueled them and can say that I am fairly certain that lifetaps kick [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] over their heals.</span><div></div>

<DIV>yeah I just got my lvl 55 tap viens adept 3 today, and I must say this spell is sick, 700-800+ aoe damage, as well as 466 pts of health per mob, its really quite insane, and with a 1 min recast it can easily be used more then once when soloing heriocs</DIV>

The only thing I would say about fighting grouped mobs while solo is watch for the make up of the groups. In the past I have died once or twice due to being stunned and mezzed to the point that I die not even having hit anything or fired of one spell. Even now I can sometimes find myself doing nothing for the first 30 seconds or more of a fight, which when I'm being hit by three to four critters can see me down to half health before I have even started fighting back. A master II Ward helps me recover health but I can't remember if you will have anything as usefull at your lvl. <div></div>

Considering its the our only ancient that actually works well at this time I would hardly call it over powered. Plus go duel a Beserker that has his reposet (SP) buff, dueled a guildie before I understood what that buff does and basicly commited sucide with him never turning on his auto attack (not knocking beserker's just making a point). </P> <P>You can get stunned, stiffled, mobs can resist it, hardly superman, plus its a one time good deal in most fights due to its recast time, its not like we are going to put warlocks out of buisness with our one nice spell. Plus its the only spell that seems to really be any help on aggro when fighting large groups of mobs.</P> <P>It is the one spell that I have gotten that actually makes me go Wow, vs some of the crud that we get at high levels (mana sieve). But most classes I've seen get at least one great spell (good for them) and so should we.</P> <DIV>Blackoath</DIV>

<DIV>You'll notice that it's a challenge, 20-30, to solo heroics but once your strategy is down you'll be OK. Now that you're 20, though, nek forest is pretty much unused, go there, butcher solo yellows for more xp and a slightly better loot table than FG.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Theres a time and place to use Tap Veins as its Aoe is massive. The [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] thing aoes in a sphere, however its still an awesome spell. When i was in a Raid my Int was at 400, Tap Viens aoed for 1100 per mob and HT almost did 4266, its all about Int <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To op fyi</DIV> <DIV>when i was 54</DIV> <DIV>Lvl 50s were green = ^^^ were easy and very good xp</DIV> <DIV>Lvl 51s were blue = ^^^ were a very tought fight but killable, also very good xp</DIV> <DIV>lvl 52s were blue = Not killable.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So I would start with a ^^^ that is 4 lvls below you and see how the fight goes, if you can do it without a problem then move up a lvl. Grps of mobs are the same, just becareful of stunning.</DIV> <DIV>My advice, get your ward Adept3 quality and cast it before you pull.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Plant</DIV>
