Greetings,I'm going to hit lvl50 pretty soon. I've managed to harvest a Rough Pearl and a Vanadium cluster. When you ding 50, do you get a choice for a Master II spell? Also, what Adept3s I should get with those? Any info is appreciate it.

When you ding 50, that is still technically tier 5. You get Despoiling mist, Blasphemy, and Wicked Coil. To get adept3's of these spells, you will need Rubys/Rhodiums. As far as the t6 rares you harvested. I would save them. Have the vanadium made into a ring or something. Use the pearl to have a spell upgraded. I would say wait untill level 52 and have Mana Sieve made adept 3. Pretty much all of the spells that are worth upgrading IMO all come after level 52. At level 54 you get an option for another Master II spell, but honestly. I was disappointed in the options. -Angaffen- Lvl 56 SK/60 Weaponsmith Guk

Depraved aura at level 52 is a really good spell to get up.

You can also trade that pear/vanadium for some cobalt and get yourself some nice armor. I would suggest this above the adept 3s.

- Toesmash 57 SK / 60 Armorer

Tap Veins adept 3 is a good upgrade.

I would have to agree Tap Veins is our best spell to upgrade atm.

I think for a master 2 choice at 44 you get a weapons proc, updated cursed line, our t5 ae taunt/disease debuff, or wicked coil. I did what most of the others recommended in other threads and got the weapons proc and it is very nice.

You would recommend the weapon proc over the debuff/taunt for Master II? Just curious as to the argument for one over the other, especially considering or aggro problems. I am not at this point myself, so I'd love some feedback/input here, too. I chose the debuff/taunt myself at a different tier, but I think it was the same lines of spells available for the choices - was very happy with the outcome....

The previous Master II choice, I went with the ward. I like to solo alot sometimes and the REALLY helps in fights. Its also very useful when I'm the MT.

Tap Viens is deffinately the best spell to upgrade, however he's level 50 so I was hedging my bets he would get another pearl or Vanadium before he hit 55, as you can find them quite easy. I think I have two spells that aren't adept III now, the pet spell, and the disease nuke (can't remember names atm)

- Toesmash 58 sk / 60 armorer

I think it took me 10 mins straight to decide (aaarrggh). I like building I believe its near 68 hate & 37 dmg per hit to me (in off mode, or slightly less in def mode) Get hit 3 times & you've done 100dmg & 200 hate. Its a guaranteed hit on the mobs & each time they wack you, it ticks em off more. Its one of those things where the longer the fight, the better it works. It works great on multiple mobs encounters. Our AE's may be limited to how many mobs we can hit, but this doesn't, Pull 20 mobs, it'll hit all 20.

The weapon proc doesn't sufficiently go off to rely on whatsoever, to warrant it, unless it was 20% to trigger.

The AE taunt was me first almost instant choice. I know we have troubles with agro. I know that its being looked at & hopefully sometime in the near future, it'll be better. I just don't see a little bet extra hate & dis debuff was gonna do it. Its not like we're only slightly not losing agro, that this would put us over the top & make us good or at least comparable to say a grd. Its on 20 sec recast & you don't use it solely to get the agro. You have to use it among single taunt, shield bash & the caress to work together to generate your hate. It just didn't make sense to upgrade something that is 25% of the abilities I use to generate hate being slightly better. If it went 2000 hate, it'd be 2000 divided by 4 in its increased effectiveness etc... I hope everyone gets what I'm saying here & me logic could be aloof, but I don't believe so. I'm not saying 2000 is bad & hell if it was 2000 I may have picked it, but its not & coupled with the math, it wasn't that good.

DoT upgrade is not something I use all the time, as I tend to rely on lifetaps more & throw the dot in for the extra dmg, but it doesn't save me. I have a tendancy to use the dot more of a pulling tool, if I'm trying to pull 5 mobs to me at once & the others haven't popped yet. That isn't a good reason to pick it. I use the lifetaps all the time, in all circumstances as a heal, or dmg.

Anyways, those are the reasons I chose what I did from the limited abilities we had to go from. Perhaps they will give you & others some insight onto some possibilities of where to go. I'm by no means saying me way is perfect or the best, but from me playstyle it certainly was better for me.

Peace

My logic with picking the taunt & debuff (at the earlier tier) also had to do with how much I use the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] thing. Yeah it's on a higher reuse timer than I'd like, but the nice thing is that I use the debuff in conjunction with a BARRAGE of spells, and it increases the effectiveness of all those DD spells, including HT. Not only that, but it debuffs the whole encounter, meaning I can chuck my AoEs in there too, to take advantage of it. Right now I'm using primarily 2H weap, but when I'm MTing or in a high-risk encounter, I like to use 1H & shield. The tactic I use is to keep my reactive up at all times, in DEF stance until the spells/CAs I want are up. When they are, I switch from DEF to OFF stance, and use that debuff immediately (when using 2H I actually start an HO with the WIS debuff for extra pain, and end with the disease debuff). Then I blast out every disease spell I have, taking full advantage of that disease debuff while it is running. If I throw in my HT while the debuff is going it's even more wicked. Sometimes I actually switch to a 2H mid-battle just to use that WIS debuff in conjunction with the disease debuff. If it's a particularly nasty encounter, I will pull the named using my INT Hex Doll, which reduces the MIT vs all magic types by a considerable amount. Anyway, just wanted to explain how I use the debuff to effect, and why my thinking was that by upgrading this spell (which I use every time it's up), you can in a sense improve not just one spell, or one attack, but every disease based spell you have. And hey, having even more aggro gen on this taunt is just icing :smileyhappy:
