You probably mean the Cold Forged Armor quests (unfortunately there is no SK armor that I know of <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ). Check out <a href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db/quests/ColdForgedArmorPartI.php" target=_blank>this guide</a>. <div></div>
<DIV>level 20? Time to start those darkforge quests in CT, run to the temple of sol ro to get them <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone else think that the lack of class specific armor really hurts the game diversity?</DIV>

There is no way of differentiating one plate class from another, other than looking at what type of items they have equipped, and even then, it's sometimes difficult.</P> <P>I've heard that they're implementing items specific to Crusaders, but nothing specific to just Paladins/Shadow Knights, which is sort of dismaying. Wouldn't you love having a weapon whose graphic isn't seen on every other like-leveled charcater? It would certainly make for a better feel. That's one of the things that I loved so much about EQL—Darkforge, Blood Ember, Blood Lord's, Malevolent, Grimror's, etc. And, of course, the epic weapon, not to mention the weapons that had graphics not seen as commonly as others, such as Noct. Blade and Greenmist.</P> <P>To hell with dye. That's the easy way out.</P> <P>Bring back diversity.</P><p>Message Edited by vwlssknght on <span class=date_text>09-05-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:35 AM</span>
<DIV>Paperdoll issues aside of everying wearing either black or silver armor 40-50 for tanks and having their pris and a few other common weapons for raiding, but it makes the game more annoying that an item will be open for all tanks or all mages all scouts etc, pretty much only brawlers monks have some unique gis that no one else will get.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Implementation of a crusader only item is a step in the right direction, but still will leave the greatest annoyance that guild paladin (a dark elf betrayer) and the guild sk look IDENTICAL despite being on opposite sides of the battle spectrum (well assuming such things ever get balanced). Such issues are purely asthetic.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But a lack of SK quests since level 20 has really left my char with a definative dark and grim feel that I think is required, perhaps some communing with the dead to upgrade pets which requires a pilgramage, a few wrath quests visiting pain and suffering on the descendants of those who tormented an ancestor, desecration of paladin temples or training grounds, killing their masters etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The feel of warrior classes in eq2 is still way to generic and sadly bland, the feel of equipment again is too vapid, lack of flavor text or history of such items is crippling, a few items have feeling but not enough, generally items seem to be transitory waiting for the next upgrade as opposed to feeling special for having collected feysteel ebon rubicite etc. A lack of purpose other then waiting for the timer to be lifted from a specific zone stagnants almost all levels. Items quickly fall into trash or ungodly, and getting an upgrade to drop while grinding xp is rare (level 50 41 37 33 29 chars here and only once has an item dropped in a non raid situation (hence grinding xp) that was immediately worn, although i did spend a quality amount of time trade skilling with friends such that at 20 was in carbonite and jewelry 30 feyiron 40 fulg etc).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I wish a greater specialization be given to all classes, IE a dragon(ie darathar) must be slain we need a guard as tank, a demon (kdhal) a paladin, a divine personage a sk, etc, kind of a speciality veruses race that each class gets that gives them improved defenses against and an improved attack against.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>You're right. The last time the words "Shadow Knight" appeared in quest dialogue was Level 20. There is very little flavor to be found for any class. Somewhere amid the various Adventure Packs and Expansions, I hope they find the time to stir a little in.</DIV>
