Not sure if you saw this in the beta changes for 8/22. Change for the better. Feign Death changes: - Maintained spells and pets are no longer cancelled on a successful feign. - You cannot issue commands to your pet while feigned, though you can still bring up a list of commands. - You cannot gain adventure experience while successfully feigned. - If feign fails, you now receive a "fallen to the ground" message.

No, we still cant command our pet. The important parts are these.

- Maintained spells and pets are no longer cancelled on a successful feign.
So we dont loose any buffs and stand up defenseless.

and

- If feign fails, you now receive a "fallen to the ground" message.
So we can tell when it fails, because right now the way to tell is if you keep your buffs.

This one is also interesting

 - You cannot gain adventure experience while successfully feigned.
So just make sure you stand up before stuff dies if you want exp

the ability to not command your pet applies to pet classes obviously. remember we can make any class fall to the ground and eat dirt. Being that buffs aren't canceled it may be worth using now. Even if the class loses agro that you FD you lose all their buffs on yourself which suck. I like these changes

Yeah it is a great change, and will actually make it somewhat usefull in raids. Right now the only thing I do with it is FD people before/after the raid, and occasionally use it on myself incase of a wipe.
