Dramatic, dramatic reduction in damage... <P>I also read that post. We will just have to wait for the rest of the changes (I'm pretty sure the complete fighter and priest changes are not on test at this time, fine-tuning I guess) so there is much to look foward to in my opinion. Basically we will be more so a tanking class than we ever were, and as soe intended it.  The Taunt over time idea seems REALLY promising in my opinion. I have a feeling our taunting ability will go up overall, contrary to what that tester said about 1 of our taunts. </P> <P>We also know that each fighter subclass will have increased mitigation against a certain resistance. Hopefully a tester can provide a list (I'm guessing ours will be even more disease or poison mitigation). So far things look pretty good to me though. I'm pretty sure I speak for the entire SK community that additional information and specifics on the changes so far (looks at monk forum) would be VERY MUCH appreciated <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

By the sound of it, it's a wash. If we were able to kill an NPC in five minutes due to our DPS capabilities and are now able to kill the same NPC in ten minutes but able to heal ourselves more efficiently, how is this progress? It's simply the other side of the same coin. That's pathetic.

If it stays that way, it's not a wash,because now you get exp once in 10 min not in 5 so it will take you twice as long to level.  They just trying to keep people playing longer that way (if this is how the hcanges are going to be). Lame, very lame.

O my god , This is typical EQ 1 logic Lets take a class that we seriously F'up in development and make it even worse. Ill wait til Revamp , I hold no promise for this game seems they are shooting to reduce all the classes back into EQ1 . Luckily they are releasing the revamp before expansion. If the game becomes no longer fun . there are 3 other MMO that hold Promise being released over next year. we can always play single players till the next big one hits

<DIV>That one really long fight was a ^^^ named, mind.   I wasn't killing him to level.   Damage is perhaps not quite as bad as I made it seem up there, but it's definitely a falloff from before.  The power usage is actually a big problem in my solo dpsing - I can spam CAs and Spells and knock out a solo white decently quickly, but that's my entire power bar there.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I actually need to reevaluate my thoughts on the offensive stance.  It's definitely not doing nearly as much for our dps as I would hope, but the extra weapon skill (Actually pretty significant when you look at the weapon skill differential between the offensive and the defensive stance)  actually made a big difference taking on the arena champion.  Halfway through, I realized that he was hitting me every swing anyway, so that extra def wasn't doing much.  Switching to offensive, I started hitting him more often, and between increased lifetap procs and as many casts of our reactive lifetap as I could get away with (A reactive lifetap is replacing our ward by the way) my health started creeping back upwards.  The weird thing was that going into offensive in that situation actually improved my defense, but I think that may be due to the way the Champion works.  He hardly ever misses anyway, so I was able to give up the def buff.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm going to start a seperate post and give what info I can remember about specific spell line changes.</DIV>

<P>Overall pretty much what I always suspected would happen. DPS nerf was inevitable. I am relieved that they decided to actually give us respectable lifetaps. Good idea changing the ward to a reactive lifetap also. makes more sense as a Shadowknight.</P> <P>I remain extremely worried about our power consumption and taunt issues.</P> <P>We are the shadowknight our very existance should make creatures hate and want too kill us. We should have the best instant agro generation of the game to make up for our "lesser" defence in relation to the Paladin or Guardian. </P> <P>Im concernd about this taunt over time nonsence also. The whole Idea of taunt if to get attention of the creatures you are fighting IMMEDIATELY or as soon as possible. What good is it when the creatures finally turn to you at the end of the fight because your taunt overtime has finally built up enough to raise you on the hate list?</P> <P> </P>

They changed the con system.  What is currently a ^^ mob on live can be a ^^^ mob on test.  A normal dungeon ^^ mob will probably be a ^^^ all the time now.   ^^^ no longer means epic. <div></div>
