Good 2h weapon post 40

<DIV>I am 41 now and soon to be 42, was wondering if anyone had good advice on a good 2handed weapon for that level, perfeably questable.  I kind of like getting items by quest vs just buying them <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.  I am currently using the caretaker blundger from nek castle (descent weapon and it was free <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ).  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My guild isn't hard core raiding so really can't go kill ubber beast LOL.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any advise is appricated.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thank You</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Blackoath</DIV>

Questable: Most likely the Electrified Bone Bladed Claymore -- note this costs an ebon cluster and the all rare Berik sword IF you do the Heart of Fear Access quest you can get the Monsoon sword (2h sword with haste) Best 2h Slashing that's questable is the Prismatic Greatsword of the Scale -- however this is a long and difficult quest and cannot be completed without the help of a raid force There's a couple good weapons you can get from outside raids: Once you're high enough -- try Nek Castle 2 and hunt for Anc'Kar, The Whistling Wind (a fabled 2h sword with haste) I've picked up a Taskmaster's Battle Hammer before (very good 2h crushing) -- was in an instanced master chest (non-raid) As for raids though: Royal Great Flail (most common, very powerful -- comes from Zalak) Ancient Combine Great Flail (very powerful 2h weapon from Zek -- Tremblar ... has a healing proc plus resists and +parry) There's another good 2h hammer that drops off Solusek's Fist (Volcanic War Hammer?? (not sure on name) ) ... and several others you can get from Vox, Lich, etc. <div></div>

I have my eye on Mammoth or Treebane (nice 2h axes from the Operation Greenhood quest in Zek).  I think they're level 43 weapons.  Like you said, Caretaker's Blugeoner is a nice 2h crusher for early 40s.  Once those weapons turn blue, I'm not sure what the next options are for a non-raider (like myself).

I went from Mammoth to the BBC.  My recommendation is to get your Icespire and Miragul's Menagerie access and farm those zones until you get either the Sharilun Maul (Icespire) or Drayek's Axe of Frost (MM).  I have seen two mauls and one axe drop in the maybe 35 loot runs I have done through those zones.
