Pets persist and can be controlled, while what we summon does not and cannot. As for their appearance, I couldn't agree more. I think some more thought should have gone into their design. Neither an elemental nor a bird seem cohesive to the ideal of the class. And it doesn't make sense hearing the either of the two speak using the same voice that just about any skeleton does, besides, if the bird is going to screech, I don't think having him say something about "pretty eyes," in an English accent, in the same breath is very realistic.</P> <P>SCREECH! I do say, a crumpit would be nice with your entrails.</P> <P>We were given three invis spells as a class in EQL, two of which were specific to undead. From a role-playing perspective, that made perfect sense, and I've never understood why that ability was taken away from us and replaced with . . . evac. Why would a valiant knight, evidencing fearlessness, have a spell that helps him flee a battle? At least with invis you're strategically navigating your way to a better vantage with which to strike, in most cases, anyway.</P> <P>Ah, my greatest pet peeve of them all, a lack of class specific items that define us, aesthetically. I would love to be able to have a full suit of Shadow Knight-only armour and wield a Shadow Knight-only weapon. They had that right in EQL . . . the lines between the classes were more clearly defined and each class had something "special" that they alone could do, while this time around everything feels so generic.<BR><BR>Some people don't care about the role-playing aspect of it all, nor do they care if a Ranger can swing the Shadowblade of Zeal in combat, while others, thankfully, do. Things will get better with the coming expansion. I hope.</P>

If you dont like it play a scout, or a monk, play an SK you have said I like tanking to some degree. Everybody is getting a DPS reduction, everybody. Overall we will a small reduction in where we stand. Go play a Necromancer or a Conjurer, those are the true pet classes. Give us the ability to inflict pain and suffering, not steal a bit of a soul to make a weak pet. Having invis shoudl be reserved for mages and scouts. I see no reason we shoudl have this, its not the kind of utility i care to see, and in lieu of this, give us better group buffs, better self buffs, utility that matters. I dont see SKs creeping around like cowardly mages and rogues. Shadowknights ride forth, boldly brinign down the divine judgment by means of pain and suffering. We do not hide, run around our foes, we face them, head on. Why woudl we need epic armor? EQ2 is not even an epic game yet, give i time. We have prismatics, and IF you had done this quest you woudl know this is not over, there is much more coming. the lore behind Naggy and Vox is down right epic in proportions, its extremely well written and engaging. They are some of our most power efficient attacks, and extremely useful with aggro control. I want a few more in encounter AEs but lets keep our out of encounter ones too. Yes we have 2 in encounter AES, but the agonizing cry line is broken, fix it and I will be happy.</FONT></P> <P><FONT color=#ff0000>We dont need any more Direct attacks, we have a great line up, what we need is for them to work properly, and have better secondary effects. <P>Personnaly I love the role as an AOE tank. When grouped with wizzys, or any class that can damage shieled we wip through groups of heroic mobs. My favorites are the heroic groups with no ^ and 4 to 6 individuals. Cycling through 4 AE damage spells, and the AE taunt I hold all the aggro, and the mobs often die before I turn from my first target.</P> <P> </P> <P>Gotta love the Crushing anvil HOs when they pop up during a multiple group fight as well. Whats not to like about AOE attacks?</P>

<P>If its true they are reducing DPS then they are saying that soloing is not really an option anymore, if you want to play or gain any kind of xp's or do any quests you will need to group, that is if you can always get one or have the time too.</P> <P>I don't mind having AOE's but the should hit only the group we are fighting instead of everything in the area, there are alot of places that we won't be using them and we therefore are not using our full potential. </P> <P>Our Lifetaps do suck and need to be upgraded, we should also have some kind of Power draining spells that give us some of that power also, since our spells and abilities use alot of power that we run out before we are finished fighting the first creature unless you like fighting a long long long time as we will with the reduced damage we will soon be doing.</P> <P>They should also change the *****MULE***** they gave us for a Horse, or to those that complain about us getting horses make us do a quest for a Horse or one to upgrade the Mule we now have. Which they should have done in the beginning.</P> <P> </P>
