<DIV>Hiya fellow SKs,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was wondering which prismatic weapon you all would pick/have picked? I tend to lean towards the 2-hander just cause I think it looks cooler but I would like to know if there is a reason to pick one over the other from an SK stand point? Are there a shortage of 1-handers out there at high levels to merit choosing the 1-hander prismatic? Or vice-versa with the 2-hander? Thanks for your thoughts.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I am an SK, tho in XP groups I am asked to tank from time to time, most of my game play I am in a support role.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Therefore a 2 hander it is, I will get far more use out of it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Depends if you tank or you are support. <div></div>
<DIV>I took the 1 handed pris based on the idea at some further pt in time xp will again be turned on again and grinding xp will again happen (although raid xp is fairly nice when doing x4 mobs) so who knows.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Point for me was I want my sk to be a tank, and maybe one day he will be, until then im gonna work on my troub (27) and my zerk (23) so if crusaders are throughly [Removed for Content] in the upcoming combat changes, and I have every inclination they will be, I can just mothball the sk until the day some dev tries playing one and says well [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] this is alot harder then my <insert flavor of month here>. Admittedly the zerk wont be ready in time for the new expansion but they should be fairly close. (Anyone notice that the beserker rage aspect is susposed to be on par with harm touch, a skill you can use constantly versus one you can use every 30 mins.... Im starting to think balance was never intended, or the old some classes are more balanced then others).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But perhaps Im just a pessimist.</DIV>

Took the 2H for the reasons stated above. For those of you looking to use it in the 50-60 Grind, keep in mind that its going to be white at 53 blue at 54. Sure it will still have some nice stats but for tanking you will likely be better off with a T6 Rare Imbued. <div></div>

Unless you are the main tank for your guild you'll want to go with the 2 hander

<P>Honestly.. Crusaders should be leaning on 2H since our primary role is DPS / Buff / Debuff on Raids.</P> <P>As a SK you should be able to Tank any raid mob in the game.. but mostly.. for as long as I've been<BR>around.. I'm mainly MT for Epic x2 and the occasional x4.. no wear near enough for me to require a 1H.</P> <P>Every good raiding guild should have a Guardian, besides.. Haste groups FTW.. :smileyvery-happy:</P>
Well i agree with most of the responses..ideally you would want one nice weapon of each. However i have always opted for the one handed weapon and shield. Especially the SBS. Although it is not the highest mitigation shield available for an SK it soes have +11 str and +11 sta. I am also the main tank for my guild so having shield bash available is a must. Without shield bash you will have trouble holding agro if you are in a group with a high dps class. In short follow the above posters rule. If you are MT, always carry a shield, if you are support always have a 2 hander Olarad 49 SK antonia bayle <div></div>

<DIV>As a Ogre i tend to have more hp then most warriors so i'm usually tanking 90% of the time unless on raids. I would get 1 hander if your a larger class, regardless of what people say, they tend to have 300+ more hp then any other class with the same gear and will get asked to tank more.</DIV>

<DIV>for raids - the 2 hander</DIV> <DIV>for xping - the 2 hander</DIV> <DIV>for everything else - the 2 hander</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>on raids your dps 95% of the time</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>when xping mobs are so trivial that even with 1 healer you can just use a 2 hander and do some extra dps while that sole healer keeps you up with ease</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>honestly the only time i use a 1 hander is when tanking big raid nameds and those extra few % mit really matter</DIV> <DIV>besides there are plenty of 1h fabled weapons dropping .. atleast way more than 2h weapons</DIV>

hey guys, I been having the same dilemma as well... Right now I have EBBC as 2hder and proudfoot morningstar (yes yes i know :p) as 1hder and SBS. Hopefully one day I will finish screaming mace (if the named decide to spawn when I camp them :p) or soul harvester if shakey finally drops my sword >_<. I am tanking alot for my guild and they keep telling me to get 1hder esp since I already have a good 2hder (the ebbc). any input would be appreciated. <div></div>
<DIV>If you can finish Screaming Mace you have your good 1hander right there... :smileywink:</DIV>

I would go with the 2hs prismatic as if your able to do prismatics it means your in a guild that is able to kill most raid level content. There is a ton of raid drops out there for 1hs, 1hb and 2hb but few 2hs so you should be able to get a fabled item from another raid that will help with the grind from 50 to 60 when the exspansion comes out.

<P>Fortunately I was able to get my hands on a Anc'Kar, the Whistling Wind so I've recently decided to get a Prismatic Longsword. Normally I would agree with most others logic and get the two hander but since IMO this is just as good, I should just get a kick [Removed for Content] 1 hander.</P> <P>(and I know the prismatic 2hder SS is a little off)</P> <DIV><IMG alt=Image src="http://www.gor-squad.com/media/othergames/2hweapons.jpg" border=0></DIV>

What mob dropped the Anc'Kar? If you got it where you took the screenshot looks like Feerrott(Vaz'Gok) or Trembling Lagoon(Eye or Drakota) instance but if you could verify that be great.

<DIV><FONT size=4>Sorry, but I don't know where the Anc'Kar came from. I bought this off the market and also the SS above came from someone in the guild. The only thing I know is the guy who posted the pic above is also the one who said it was crazy that this thing dropped from this certain mob. I took that as..... this sword is way easier to get vs prismatic very hard quest.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=4></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=4>I know all this info sounds vague, but when I see that guildmate on, I'll ask if he remembers what specific target dropped this and let you guys know asap.</FONT></DIV>

<P>One thing I've always wondered, why in the blue moon does a lot of the heavy armor and fighter weapons have INTELLIGENCE, sometimes as it's main stat. I understand that the combat revamp when it happens, intelligence will actually help on spell damage, but still its going to be our least useful stat (specially since damage for all fighters classes is going down). Just something thats always bothered me LOL.</P> <P>BTW, very nice weapons <drool> hehe</P> <P>V/R</P> <P>Blackoath 40th Troll Shadow Knight</P>
<P>That screenshot shown was made by me...and the sword does not drop from the feerrott. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>I was just harvesting there when I took it...and compared it to my 2H crushing weap (which sucks now).</P><p>Message Edited by jb- on <span class=date_text>07-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:25 PM</span>

Anc'kar is if I recall correct form Nek2, rare drop of one of the named (or even sister). Went for the 1h, and after some doubt if I did the right choice, I'm glad I did it ... nice regen when ur tanking! <p></p>

the 2hder is the way to go. you gonna get mana sieve anyways for power regen anyways. Having the best dps you can get 2hded is pricless, since your probably going to solo that way. In xp groups you can lean on the group for power regen and conserve power during fights(shouldnt have to be doing dps in xp groups or tankin on a raid). I can keep my power lvls up n groups just using sieve and manastone(both are a one min recast).
