SKs vs. Chanters: Who wins?

<DIV>I have almost no experience playing with a chanter and now that my guild has a few, figured I had better learn my role.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In a normal xp/farming group, do you ask if you can AE?  Chanters probably prevent more damage via mezz than we can dish out in AEs.  So they win and we lose a huge portion of our DPS?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, can a level 50 tell me whether Blashpemy breaks mez?  The picture in the other thread shows it has an AE damage component.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks.</DIV>

<DIV>Only time you break mezz if the background is blue for AoE. Blasphamy is green so you OK <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and you can use your red back ground AoE also <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.  Single target taunt with dot brakes mezz.  Just make sure you ward chanter do AoE taunt then single taunt works like a charm</DIV>

<P>I grouped with a chanter from 39-50, same one. I got adicted to her fast, crack = god. We aoed all the time, CT, Perma, Sol Eye; she would usulay aoe mez to "stun" the pull then it was burn em down, the only times we truly mezed was on adds wich she would call out, then ya just got to not hit the true aoe spells. :smileyhappy:</P>
