Ok so in that other thread we were talking about the kite sheild and how it makes you level 51 and how this effects our spells. Determined Zeal at 250: <img src="http://nandy.ntsj.com/eq2/250.jpg"> Determined Zeal at 255 (Lvl 51): <img src="http://nandy.ntsj.com/eq2/255.jpg"> Ok so, Lets look spell by Spell: Pariah's Mark Level 50 - 131 - 219 Level 51 - 130 - 218 <--- Hahahaha it just got worse Soulrend Level 50 - 168 - 281 Level 51 - 168 - 280 <---- =X Plague Sword Level 50 - 231 - 385 Level 51 - 230 - 383 <--- .... Insidious Whisper Level 50 - Level 51 Unchanged Blasphemy Level 50 - Level 51 - Unchanged Sickening Anger --> Does not Master on Determined Zeal (Uneffected) Dreadful Wrath --> Does not Master on Determined Zeal (Uneffected) Wicked Coil --> Does not Master on Determined Zeal (Uneffected) Baleful Smite --> Does not Master on Determined Zeal (Uneffected) (This list goes on). So in short -- BEWARE -- being level 51 apparently sucks. ~Astaroth@Guk <div></div>

Not onlyl that, but everytime we get an "upgrade" spell or art, it actually scales down in power, maleific touch at lvl 45 did about 60 more damage than ruinous touch at lvl 45. according to the examine info on both spells.

Wow, that's a severe oversight in SOE's part.. Wearing shield makes your zeal spells potent to be weaker or no change if its not at mastery level is just wrong. I think SOE forgot to code that.. Thanks for sharing those with us and we can ask SOE to fix that problem so shield with +5 bonus can be useful. Thanks for discovering the bug..

You are wrong. This shield ups every one of your skills one level and if you watch your damage, namely on your taunt, you will clearly see it is doing more damage. Try it, do a taunt with no shield on, then put your +5 shield on, wow look at that, its doing more damage. It changes some of your spells to reflect the damage but others it doesnt update. You can also test this by casting Insatiable hunger with the +5 shield on, and then taking it off and casting insatiable again. It wont let you. Cast pariahs mark with +5 shield on, on a mob, take shield off, try to cast pariahs mark again. It wont let you. This shield is the best shield in the game for a knight as it absolutly upgrades your spells one level. <div></div>

What your saying is that the inspects are broken but the actual spells are doing more damage? If so thats great, but its still bugged. <div></div>

Well they are updating just incorrectly (ie they are showing less dmg). <div></div>

Yeah, I haven't crunched the numbers on all our skills, but I do know my Insidious Whisper does 56/tick with the shield as opposed to the 54 it does without. Could just be a bug with how they display, hard to test things like Plague Sword where you have to take disease mitigation into account. <div></div>

Ahh! Good to know that shield function works as intended. It's only display bug after all.. Whew. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Now, I'm looking forward to waste dkp on the shield someday.
