It would look awesome for a shaman type.  I, however, am a shadowknight, and wonder what the devs were smoking when they said hey, "polly the parrot of Doooommm" would be a perfect pet for a shadowknight.  I want one of the hellhounds from the bloodlines !! Now *that* is a pet for an sk! <div></div>

Yep, the SK pet graphics really disappoint me too.  I can think of 1,000 other graphics that would suit an SK better.  I just can't imagine what was going through the dev's heads when they settled on the [Removed for Content] and ghost bird.  They really underestimate how important little things like this are to us players.

Yeah, I won't lie, it is extremely lame considering what the Tainted Caress description is.  I was really pumped when I first got it and it said pulls the soul from your victim to fight for you during battle etc. etc... I thought it would have been an actual soul or something resembling a soul.. But we get the playdo and as I call it, the pigeon of doom.  Sony needs to definately fix this.  I'd be happy if you give me back my EQ1 skellie with my dual flaming swords.. Now THAT was a SK pet... I don't disagree.with the topic, but we're back to the horse look again. When we start complaining about the looks of our spells, it's a signal that we don't have any really important issues.
