8 or 9 (leaning towards 9).  Im currently level 30.  I love my SK, I love everything about them, the good points and the bad (the latter helps to prevent too many SK's from arising on the server).  I only hope they continue to be this fun for me all the way up.

<P>I'm only lvl 24 but so far I love it.  I dont really care about the complaints.  If I wanted to be the best tank then I would have rolled a guardian.  I dont know why every uber tank wannabe doesnt just do that.  Could it be the rest of the class abilities are not exciting?  This isnt a bash on guardians.  If that is your bag go for it.  Just dont look at the cool skills of the SK and then complain when we cannot tank like the best tank class.</P> <P>Personally I feel like a tank-mage.  It is really fun blowing stuff up while taking a beating too.  I have had numerous people of different classes shout WHOA!  when I roll.  I once watched a conjuror get owned 3 times by a mob and he asked me to help.  we were the same level and I could have solo'd the mob in my sleep.  We grouped up and he was shocked. </P> <P>Very few classes get the ablility to fire solo HOs in rapid succession like we do.  Most classes' HOs are buffs that only overwrite the previous one.  Our HOs also allow us to go into very low power/high damage mode.</P> <P>Sure other fighters get the same HOs but not the same triggers so most have to wait for spells to cycle and if they get a resist, the HO wont fire.  That's just one aspect of the class.  There are lots more.</P>

<DIV>Im not 50, but close! Oddly enough im starting to have more fun then I did, say, 15 levels or so ago. Heck I havent even raided as of yet, just having a ton of fun helping friends level, quest, and even helping random folks who /ooc for it whatever zone im in at the time. I imagine when I do hit 50 and seek out a guild to raid with the fun will even be greater, even with our raid capability, as compromised as many a seasoned SK vet will tell you. What I think it boils down to is, YOU make your fun, be it helping ppl, grinding levels, roleplaying an evil [Removed for Content], harvesting for wee hours into the morning for that Ebon Cluster or training the bejesus out of plat farmers....which I personally love! </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I would say a 9+  of 10!</DIV>

<DIV>Well since no lvl 50's answered allow me to be the first:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Fun with the game is still a 10. Fun with my 50 SK i'd say 9.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>The bads</STRONG></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>- Can get boring sometimes because you no longer go XP for hours on end.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>The goods</STRONG></DIV> <DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV> <DIV>- Don't have to worry about XP anymore</DIV> <DIV>- Can concentrate on finishing all your outstanding HQ's</DIV> <DIV>- Get your gear top notch</DIV> <DIV>- Get all the adept 3's you need</DIV> <DIV>- Harvesting is much better when skills are 250. Get rares more often.</DIV> <DIV>- Every other day I can go solo Vyr'drais and pray for a master chest</DIV> <DIV>- RAIDS!! Easier to attend at 50 when you have nothing else to do.</DIV> <DIV>- Alot of zones are completely grey. Feerrott is completely grey with a few greens and blues around CT entrance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The only bad thing to me is the boredom issue. To combat this I just started a few alts and play those when there is nothing to do. I also raise my tradeskill when I can gather the energy to do so. I personally don't understand how all these level 50's are getting bored and quitting. There is plenty of fun when you are level 50 to me.</DIV>

<P>9.5 atm <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  I'm glad I changed to this game from EQ, am glad I have stuck with this game to this point, and hope this game will be around and populated just about the way it is now for years to come.</P> <P>I'm thrilled to be 50 and not have to exp anymore.  I'm now doing what I always wanted to do, which is to just raid with my guild and be a full time weaponsmith and in-game business Gnome.</P>

<P>Thanks for the responses guys.</P> <P>Loke said something I really like..."YOU make your fun".</P> <P>I guess that kind of sums it up. </P> <P>Personally my attitude toward the game went through big changes every 10 levels or so. </P> <P>I think the big issue I have now is that in eq1 the high end focus was on "conquering" a linear progression of epic zones in each expansion and in eq2 the high end game seems less structured. </P> <P>Any thoughts on this? C'mon 50's reprazent!</P>

<DIV>I am lvl 48 having more fun now after the last couple of patches. I seem to be MT a lot when grouping and upgraded my taunts to Adept 3 I can hold agro with no problem and if I happen to lose it is usually cause I am a slow [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] typer and missed a taunt cycle while chatting. But hitting the taunt again usually gets it back right away.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Still think we need a must need skill at raids to be completely viable to a raid but not many good guardians(most guilds have 1 maybe 2) on my server so the SK's that are decent are doing a lot of MT or ST duties.</DIV>

<DIV>Why are sub-50s posting? Wasn't the intention of the post to see how end-gamers are enjoying the current state of affairs?</DIV>

The phrase end-game content should never be used in a MMORPG anyway as they never end until the company shuts off the servers.</P> <P>Was lvl 48 when posted originally and lvl 49 now so haven't had a chance to use Despoiling Mist yet but hopefully it half as good as stated by poster above.</P>

<DIV>Lvl 33, thought I'd chime in since not many 50s did. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> I'd say 6.5. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I started a SK based on my favorite class from EQ1.  First I was disappointed that they took away class defining charateristics of the SK.  Also, the SK is actually a real tank now.  Thus, I would have the same amount of fun with any other tank because I do not fell that a SK is special in any one particular way.  I'm hoping this will evolve as they develop the game.  I am leveling at a snails pace, completing on average 10 quests per level.  Questing is not conducive to grouping which makes it good that a SK is a real tank now and I can solo much more.  Although I disagree with much of the rants such as the taunt issue, there is much to be desired.  For me,  there is no roleplaying. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What does it mean to be evil?:  The centaurs won't aggro me unless I kill one for the 5 levels that I have to worry about it like its a big deal?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What's it mean to be a SK?:  Same as a Paladin but you get a black horse that is less useful than the jboots and your lifetap procs arent as good as self heals. Your harm touch in no way as class defining as lay hand.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I give the 6.5 because I can solo to get through my quests and can find xp groups readily.  I also like the AOE attacks.  So the rating is more on the game itself along with the previously mentioned perks.  A large chunk of the 3.5 points is that I was disappointed in the lack of class defining attributes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kill a High Elf for me!</DIV>

<DIV>I going with two.  Yes two.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I just simply dont like SKs tanking performance.  I feell really bad every single time when I loose aggro and I cant get it back.  Tanking is a huge pressure on me to keep everyone alive and SK doesnt seem to live up what they should be doing.  If I were to tank a bit better and more reliable I would raise my "fun level" up to 7 or 8 range.</DIV>

I know what you mean.  I have the same problem.  When the Warlocks stops power nuking and apply their spells judiciously, i can hold aggro fine.

<P>I would have to say a 9.  I love tanking and with a shadowknight it is just more of a challenge at times.  Despoiling mist does rock....think it does 1040 physical mitigation debuff just at app. 1.  There are a few things that seem broken and we can run through power as easy as breathing air....but I think some things are gonna change with the whole new tank system.</P> <P>Can't wait to see what SOE has in mind for us when the expansion comes out too.</P> <P>50 SK Befallen</P>

My main was a Fury (26). I got bored with him and started a Necro (22), got bored with him also. Then started a Bruiser(22), he just plain sucks, then started my Shadowknight of mass distruction, which is now (29). I love my Sk and will not play anything else 10-10. <div></div>

<P>I am about to hit 30 with my SK and rate my fun level a 9!  I have the luck of my hubbie playing an Inquistor, so we rip though the mobs!  I have a main whos a 34 wizzy and have been playing her sense retail.  Slowly but surely my SK is winning in being more fun than my mage, lol.</P> <P><img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>
