Where's all the Halberd's at?

I use an SBH myself and from what I have seen, halbards are few and far between.  Also, from what I have seen, they are all marked as great axes.  If they were listed as spears, we could not use them.  We as it was, were not able to use halbards until they gave us the ability to use axes.

<P>The player made Pristine Imbued Ebon Halberd is one of the coolest looking weaps in game - exact same graphic as the Gnoll mastery quest graphic, and its a kick [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] weap besides.</P> <P>Only prob is it is tagged with spear skill instead of axe so we can't use it.  Not sure why this is, it's more like an axe on the end of a long pole than a spear imo <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<P>Yeah, I saw that one...REAL NICE...shouldn't this be a bigger issue?  I'm VERY happy that we were given the chance to wield axes as a Dorf...but it does seem odd that the only Halberd we can use is the SBH.  From a pure damage pov Halberds are one of the finest weapons in the game are they not?</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<P>I think the problem lies in that they believe Halberds should be catagorised as Great spear - and not Great axe, they did change the SBH herritage so we could use it but i believe that was an exception since it was a herritage quest.</P> <P>and that here, halberds do function as a slashing and pierceing weapon, being able to thrust with the point or slash with the blade, which reflects in the animation - compared to great axes which have only slashing animations.</P> <P>It's my belief that they do not want us wielding halberds at all - only axes.</P> <P> </P> <P>Braellar</P>
